 | With its annual Best of House series, the Robbins label consistently puts together a batch of marginal (at best), semitimely singles from the progressive house world. Labeling the majority of these tracks "the best of house" is a very dicey move; if this is the best of house, then house might as well be considered dead. Despite this, some of the tracks in the series have had moderate success on the dancefloors of trendy (albeit out-of-it) clubs. The third volume, released in 2003, features Tomcraft's "Loneliness," Roc Project's "Never (Past Tense)," Cyndi Lauper's "Shine (Tracy Young Mix)," and DJ Sneak's "Fix My Sink." ~ Andy Kellman |
