4 of 5 Not as easy as expected Wednesday, May 27, 2009
alphageek from Oregon

Overall, this got the job done that I bought it for but not with the one-touch ease that I expected. First, the driver installation (XP/SP3) was filled with errors. It couldn't find several of the windows video dll's and other files. I had to manually search and locate these. Once the software was in, the manual supplied is painfully thin. Using it is a product of discovery. Finally, there's a lot about video that I didn't know but had to learn to end up with decent quality video conversions.

3 of 5 Lacking drivers Saturday, March 28, 2009
A Customer from West Palm Beach, FL
The device works great if all you use is the included application. However, if you need it to work with other apps, it does not supply a driver with RGB output. So if your app needs RGB then the device is useless.

3 of 5 Limited, but great for the price Thursday, February 05, 2009
Pete from Portland, OR
This is a really cool little device, extremely easy to use and the click-to-record button is surprisingly useful. Quality is ok, there tends to be a slight scanning effect at higher resolutions but it's not bad. I do notice an increasing A/V delay for longer recordings. My biggest issue though is the lack of a timer in the recording software - you have to be present to end the recording. Overall though, it performs well, especially for the price, and is ideal for transferring home videos etc to the computer (I've been copying old VHS tapes, both PAL and NTSC).

4 of 5 Product does what I need Wednesday, January 28, 2009
A Customer from Madison, CT
I have no comparisons with other products, but this has worked so far. I wish the software could detect when a tape has ended (or if it does, I wish the method were apparent); I keep getting a lot of extra empty space that I haven't yet figured out how to delete.

5 of 5 I absolutely love it. Saturday, January 24, 2009
Ignacio from Chicago, IL
Consumer video technology at your fingertips. Tell your friends to get one, or you'll get stuck with a bunch of favors. I really like the the video editing software that comes with this product, and how easy it can be to fine tune a project. I didn't get discouraged when my first recording didn't come out well, I simply had to clean the Heads in the VCR Player. ENJOY!

4 of 5 No complaints Friday, January 23, 2009
Sheryl from Des Moines, Washington
When I first got this I plugged it into a USB hub and it didn't work. Once I plugged it directly into a computer USB port it worked fine. I have copied several movies of my daughter and my dog and it seems to work great.

This product does exactly as advertised. Simply hook up your old video camera and it records it and lets you transfer them to DVDs. For under $40 you can't beat this deal

5 of 5 Easy to Use! Sunday, December 14, 2008
Reme from Phoenix AZ
Received this item very quickly. Easy to use out of the box. Have used it with both my computer (to transfer/burn DVD from VHS tape/VCR) and a TV monitor (to monitor outdoor wireless security camera). Very user-friendly. Would recommend this product very highly.
