1 of 5 Stuck Pixel, two times in a row. Thursday, January 22, 2009
Duy from San Francisco

I got this a couple weeks ago and was livid to see it had a stuck pixel (bright green dot just off center to the left) given the high ratings and good reviews. So I figured it was a fluke, got an RMA and sent it back for a replacement. I got the replacement today, plugged it in and boom. Another stuck pixel--this time it was blue and farther towards the right. I can't express how deeply disappointed I am to have received TWO monitors in a row with the same problem. Stuck pixels aside, the monitor looks great--but it's hard to overlook that flaw when you're dishing out the cash for what's supposed to be a quality brand.

5 of 5 Excellent monitor Thursday, October 30, 2008
Jimothy from Berwyn, IL
I got two of these in July, and I'm very happy with them, especially since I was upgrading from big ole CRTs! The color temperatures of my pair are identical as far as I can tell. When I first hooked them up, there was some strange effect that caused soft, subtle, horizontal bars rolling across the screen from bottom to top, noticeable only in moderately dark patches of color. But then I exchanged my VGA cables for DVI, and the interference disappeared! Picture perfect. No dead pixels, great contrast, nice slim frame. Subtle color shifts are noticeable at the edges of the screen when you move your head around, especially when you're up close, but nothing bothersome for me. I don't move my head around that much anyway. :) The adjustment buttons under the bottom edge are easy to hit accidentally when you're repositioning the monitor on your desk, but that's just nitpicking. One more tip: Make sure when you lay the monitor on its face to plug the cables in, that nothing is underneath them! I got a tiny dent in one of my screens that affects the brightness ever so slightly in that spot.

5 of 5 Awesome monitor Wednesday, September 03, 2008
A Customer from Bridge City, TX
After reading all the great reviews, I knew this was the one for me. The quick response time is perfect for gaming. As everyone says, the viewing angles aren't great, but only if you work on photoediting would this be a problem. For typical computer use and gaming, this monitor cannot be beat for the price and quality. Get the ergotron flex stand, it is well worth it. I had to return my first monitor due to a minor defect in the backlight, but buy.com has great customer service and took great care of me. This monitor is not retina-burning bright like many are today, but 95% brightness is perfect for me. 360 looks awesome on this monitor through HDMI at 1080p.

5 of 5 Awesome Monitor Monday, August 18, 2008
D. Clark from PA
Monitor is huge, upgraded from a 19" 4:3 Viewsonic vx922. Pretty good color reproduction, used mainly for gaming, desktop, and CAD work. TF2 has a touch more blur than the vx922 but still acceptable. Has about the same amount of light bleed as the vx922. No dead pixels. I sit about 2 ft from the monitor and I notice less and less of my room anymore. Having the extra screen resolution and desktop space is invaluable. Highly recommended.

5 of 5 Very good monitor. Saturday, August 16, 2008
eliastech from Bronx, NY
This is my second BenQ and like the previous it has excellent colors. Very little backlight bleed. No ghosting that I can perceive. Movies and games look great. You will need a premium video card(s) to take advantage of all the real estate. One negative is the location of the adjustment buttons. BenQ puts them along the edge. You pretty much have to fiddle and guess until you memorize the locations and functions of the buttons. I will never again go back to Viewsonic.

5 of 5 Definitely a top choice. Friday, June 27, 2008
A Customer from NY, NY
I was comparing this model against the leading Dell and Samsung with similar specs. I had never used, or seen, a BenQ up close but after searching around for reviews and reading tons of spec sheets I decided to give them a try. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase, quick on-time delivery, no dead pixels, setup was a breeze. My only two negatives which are very minor are: 1) the connectors in the back are a little difficult to get to without tipping the monitor over to access them. Not terribly bad as I don't see how often I'll be plugging/unplugging the cords. 2) The dynamic contrast option is grayed out for me. I did some more searching and I think it's due to the fact that I'm on a mac. I wish that info would have been more readily available, but I can't fault BenQ for that I think. Overall, buy this monitor, it is awesome.

Super fast response. Super bright. No dead pixels. I am an online gamer and this monitor is addicting. Huge resolution and great color. I am very happy with it. I have owned it for 3 months now and have used it quite a bit.
