Well I was looking for a usb hub that was self powered, but I see many of them look bad, transparent, weired.
This one is very slim on table, has access directly for our flash sticks. This came for 10$ and rebate, google checkout.
Good deal and will last atleast 2 years. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Good Design Tuesday, June 10, 2008 Marshall Masters from Scotts Valley, CA
Very reliable with a lot of ports in such a small profile. A great USB hub for the desktop. It features a small footprint and the two upright hubs are easy to access. Was this review helpful?

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. I have been very happy with it. No problems, works well. The two top ports are great for flash thumb drives or to connect your portable MP3 player. When I saw that BUY.COM was selling them cheap I decided to purchase a second one. That works as well as the first one. I have them stacked one on top of the other, the top is set back about 3/4 an inch, and the design allows me to access all the top ports. Nice design. If you have two of these, each will need to be connected directly to your PC, do not try to daisy-chain them. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Saturday, June 07, 2008 Steve from Lawrence, KS
This is actually my second that I've bought. You can't beat the functionality or the price for this unit. I love the modular design, allowing them to be stacked if you have more than one. Plus, it just looks neat! Was this review helpful?

This is the second set of two four in use now. Took the rebate offers in all. The first two as well as the new ones have proven to be transparent as hubs usually are......
NO Issue(s)Contrary to other posts reviews. If so, Belkin Stands Behind their Lifetime Warranty.........
Any disruptive and meltdown issues remain to be a reality have not occured.......

The hub was a wonderful investment to my desk layout. It call handle anything I throw at it, even portable hard drives. It never looses speed when I have all of my devices hooked up to it. And it comes with a sweet lifetime warranty. Buy.com shipping was also great, they gave me the free 7-9 day shipping and it arrived in 4. Go Buy.com! Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Computer malfunction Thursday, May 15, 2008 A Customer from Middle Georgia, Ga
I have several units. One unit was giving me problems; computer was turning off by itself. I did a lot of work trying to fix it. I replaced hdrive, memory, reformed the whole computer. Nothing seemed to work. I bought a new computer. Everything was new except this unit. Guess what it happened again. I sent unit back with a letter to Belkin. I got a new unit, but Belkin never told me if unit was bad. Computer worked fine after this unit was replaced. If you have problems with your computer send unit to Belkin to have it checked out. 5 of 5 Piggy back OP temp running 120 degrees Sunday, May 11, 2008 Customer from Seattle, WA
Been running close to a month. Longest length running 16 hrs. No critical I/O devices connected. Five empty bays on the Hot one.
For the 2nd one its running a cooler 92 degrees. All bays in use.
So far critical mass not forth coming just yet but monitoring the hotie none the less after reading some of the reviews.
If it were to go I would say "performance and value" would drop off and "overall satisfaction would be one step above".
Belkin has the lifetime warranty. Will leave a comment to Belkin about the hotie.
I just ordered 2 more units and will see how that comes about too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Small, stackable, cheap! Tuesday, May 06, 2008 A Customer from Your Backyard
I bought this so i could obviously add more USB slots and it works as advertised and seems to be fast enough to not be noticeable if it was. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great product my second, and best hub I've used. Sunday, May 04, 2008 A Customer from Buffalo, NY
This hub works well with my Mac computer, after trying several other brands/types that didn't read the devices which were connected. Bought my second for my new MacLaptop. An excellent value for an excellent product! Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Hit of Miss with this product Tuesday, April 29, 2008 Tom from Overland Park, KS
I have two identical computer systems set up - one for each of my two in-home offices from which I run a business. I bought my first hub just under two years ago and it has performed without problem. So when it was time to set up the second system, I duplicated it - everything the same including this hub. Two months into use and the darn thing burns up - DEAD - mirroring some other similar reports that I have now read regarding this same product. I am going to order and try one more in hopes that I get one that performs the way of the first one has. I will likely come back and modify this to a higher rating should the third one work Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good USB Hub and Customer Support Monday, April 21, 2008 A Customer from Whitney Point, N.Y.
I had my first F5U237V1 hub for 2.5 years and liked it enough I bought another for my Mother-in-law. My first hub died about two weeks ago. I filled out the online return form at the Belkin website and I received my new hub today, less than a week from the time I mailed my defective hub. I can't talk to the negative issues some reviewer's have had with this model hub but the fact that it has a lifetime warranty and a company that honors the warranty, with no hassles and sends an email when the replacement is shipped speaks volumes to me. 5 of 5 Great, easy setup Tuesday, April 15, 2008 A Customer from Washington, DC
Great, easy product to setup. Vista recognized it right away and all my perifs work fine on it. It's very discreet looking, and I barely notice it on my desk. The two top-mounted ports are perfect. Was this review helpful?
