1 of 5 Below expectations Sunday, October 26, 2008 A Customer from Montana
Being that it was Belkin I thought that this would be a good purchase. I was sadly dissapointed. Battery backup was about 2 minutes on full charge and after one month, the batteries died. It now sits in a box ready for the trash bin. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 dependable and carefree Saturday, October 11, 2008 B Frey from Houston Tx
I bought this Ups about 11 months ago. I have a desktop HP Pavilion with 4800 processor, 4000 memory and Vista plugged in as well as HP wireless printer, scanner and moniter. Our electricy blinks quite often and our area is among the most lightning strikes per sq mile in the USA. This unit has performed well. We had a lot of outages during and after hurricane IKE. It runs cool and makes no noise. I also have a APC 1500 for another setup. It is good but I like the Belkin better however I think both companies exaggerate the minutes it will continue full power. I don't expect 80 minutes. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good UPS but not quite as advertised Monday, August 11, 2008 Joe Church from Tampa, FL
This is a nice UPS, it works well, but you are definately not getting 80 minutes out of it. I don't know where they come up with the 80 minutes at full load description, but forget it! Maybe if you only plug in a cd player or a light you'd get 80 minutes. I have one small computer and some other minor electronics plugged in and get no where near 80 minutes. If I connect my plasma I only get about 2 minutes, but thats to be expected. Its still a good deal, and a nice unit, just don't get your hopes up based on the runtime they describe. 5 of 5 Easy Installation and Setup Monday, June 02, 2008 A Customer from Asheboro, NC
The software was easy and quick to install. The product has worked flawlessly so far. A great price for alot of runtime. I use this for my webserver, routers, etc. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Buy this for your home network Sunday, May 11, 2008 A Customer from Friendship, Tn
I bought two of these. They were easy to set up, took a minute I think to edit the default shutdown timer. Have one on my desktop VAIO w/19"LCD 1 Lynksys N router and the cable modem runs at 27% load. The other runs my Toshiba 17" laptop 24" Dell monitor, 7 port usb hub, and wireless microsoft keyboard and mouse, runs at 12% load. Had a power failure about a week after I installed them, the desktop ran for 2 hours before it shutdown, the laptop ran for over 3 hours until power was restored. I live in a rual area and this is why I bought them. If you live in bum_u_k america get one of these. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent product! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Brandon from Carlisle, PA
This product is well made - quiet, and actually quite light for its protection rating and load. Excellent product! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Elgin, IL
This Belkin UPS is a good deal for a great device in a nice compact package. It and another one just like it have saved my workstation, servers, monitors and networking equipment several times from power outages. In fact, I have a VoIP phone line and have been able to make calls during power outages only because I have the Belkin UPS's up and running. Now, keep in mind that these are not for major server farms or other high-power situations (they don't provide enough juice for that) and they aren't setup for hours of battery-backup use. As long as you are realistic with your expectations, you will be happy with Belkin's UPS. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Price! Great Features. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Richard from Rio Rico, AZ
I bought this one because my other one died after 5 years and it was cheaper to replace it than replace the battery. The Belkin F6C1000 gives me enough power to shut everything down without losing anything! Being in a rural area, the power isn't very reliable and we have low power outages as well as weather outages. The Belkin F6C1000 shines! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value - Convenient Tower Style Thursday, August 30, 2007 sandiamt from Rio Rico, AZ
I have a small business in an older home. The area is rural and suffers from lightning storms and brown-outs...a UPS was the only way to go! The package arrived looking as though it had suffered major battle damage enroute but the excellent packaging protected it well. I had it hooked up and running in a very short time. I really enjoy the convenience of being able to monitor the UPS from the desk top and, with limited cabinet space, the tower style lets it fit right in. It's a great value! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great UPS System Tuesday, August 07, 2007 SWP from Houston, TX
I have nothing to say but good things about this product. I have already had a power failure in my home and the TV/Cable Box/Computer attached to this UPS never even flickered. It was easy to setup and get everything connected right out of the box. It's great and I don't know how I have managed this long without out it. Was this review helpful?

This does its job and is a bargain for what you get. It has 8 outlets, all battery backed up and surge protected. They are spaced fairly well so you can actually use all of the outlets without covering any up. It comes with a phone wire, a usb cable and a serial cable, which is very nice. The included shutdown software is easy and allows you to connect multiple computers to the device via network, which is very cool. It is also nice to have the serial and usb, that means I can connect my pc with the serial and my NAS with usb. One thing to note on the software is that it defaults to shutting off shortly after power loss. You probably want to change this to shutting off when the battery is getting low. This looks very nice, and can sit vertical or horizontal. It has plenty of power for a couple of computers with peripherals. Was this review helpful?

I have three of these UPS units connected to computers at my studio - they work great, have plenty of outlets that are all on the battery, and are a great buy for the money. The Bulldog software actually works well, and is easy to configure for automatic shutdown if you lose power. I have used UPS units for over 10 years, and this model is by far the best I have had. I work from home in an old house with old wiring and this UPS provided peace of mind for my two computers and network equipment. With the 8 outlets on the back, there is plenty of space to plug in all my equipment- and all of them are battery/surge outlets, not like some UPS which have only half battery protected.

It is a little on the large size, but that big footprint provides extra capacity. I should be able to run my two computers and three LCD monitors for more than 2 hours on battery power based on my 20 minute load test. That's plenty of time to finish what I'm working on during an extended blackout.

Also, I plugged in my phone line for the rare times I need to dial in and it has helped the reliability of my dial up connection. Was this review helpful?
