3 of 5 Awkward?! Wednesday, December 31, 2008 Aaron from Eugene, Oregon
Everything seems to be pretty good. Lots of features etc... My problem is, the space bar just seems to be in the wrong place. I am having a very hard time getting comfortable with it. I have ordered the G15 Gaming keyboard by Logitech. I think I will like that better. Was this review helpful?

I've used the older n50 version for years and this is even better. This will improve your gaming experience a hundred times.
Any kind of pc game where you have multiple keystrokes can easily be programmed to one button with the software provided. No more moving your hand back and forth across the keyboard, this makes gaming so much more efficient. Any command you want, as complicated as you could make it, can be mapped to one simple button.
Once you get use to it(and it is very comfortable), you will be so much faster in any game you play. Speed kills. Was this review helpful?

I have been lucky enough to have been using the n52te for about two months (good ol' BB employees put it out way too early). It is an extremly comfortable device with its upgraded wrist rest. Just remember it is adjustable for those with bigger hands. I do recommend that when you get this, do not use the CD to install it. Download the most recent driver from the website only. If you do both it will mess up some sytems and require you to delete everything as start over. I personally like the thumbstick, I use it for crouching and leaning, and have found myself "peeking" around corners a lot more and dying less because of it. If you are a PC gamer that is looking for a new pad and can afford to spend $70 on this, you can not go wrong. Was this review helpful?

<p>
I have been using the predecessor to this device ever since it came out years ago. Having said that, this new iteration is a step up on all accounts but two in my opinion.
</p>
<p>
Pros:
-Better keyboard style buttons at your fingertips. Much quieter, and lower profile so they are easier to push.
-Scroll wheel is much much more smooth and responsive and also has a better type of rubber that feels more comfortable.
-The "Orange" button which isn't orange anymore on this one is a vast improvement from the old one. That was quite possibly the biggest difference I noticed. You can actually push this one without breaking your thumb.
</p>
<p>
Cons:
-I don't like the "joy stick" addition to the top of the D-pad. It's usable, but it feels awkward and clumsy to me.
-This is the biggest con, and I cannot figure out how this made it from the old one onto the new one. The space bar button for your thumb is still sticky. I don't know if this is just my crappy luck, or if they all come that way. But, I do know that three of my friends have the old model and their space bars all stick as well.
</p>
<p>
All-in-all, GREAT improvement from the last one. Hopefully it doesn't take so long for them to pop out another one and fix that space bar. =P
