I replace my old router with this one. Easy to set up and most of things look like its sister router F5D7230-4 but work better. I use WPA as my security set up because I did not familiar with WEP or MAC address filter. I place it up right position and did not block any air movement, and the result is it give a good coverage thru my apartment and never disconnect. I had unpluged to reset it two times due to it heated by my old style heater. This router is a perfect wireless router for anyone who want to set up wireless network by themselves and did not want to get any headache pill. I wish Belkin Inc. will not leave this router behide as I had experienced with eHome wireless router(by another manufacturer)

All... Get this product if u would need router at ur home. This is great one for the price and can be configured easily. I had this for about month now, and I coudn't be more pleased. Great price, excellent service, and simple for a first time router installer.

I've used wireless routers for years, including fairly complex setups. This router was easy enough to set up, save for one thing: a bug in the javascript on its login pages prevents users with some browsers (e.g., FF on Linux) from logging in. So you essentially have to set up everything, then lock yourself out for security purposes. If you want to change anything, you have to reset the router and start over. Bad. It also stopped working after about a week for no reason. I reset it to get in to change things, but then I decided I was wasting too much time with this POS.

I had this for about month now, and I coudn't be more pleased. Great price, excellent Buy.com service, and simple for a first time router installer. My Vista Home Basic Laptop yet to experience any interruptions after several hours connected on-line (Knock,knock).

I have been using this for a month now, didn't give me much problems, just once when i had to reset it. a couple of time that it was a bit blinking in connectivity. Overall I would give it 3-3.5 on 5.

Bought this unit to work with my new DSL line which is wired to my desktop computer running Vista. My laptop has wireless and is running Win XP and I wanted the ability to get out onto the internet using the Belkin wireless router hooked into the DSL. It was a breeze to plug in and get everything up and working. The price with the rebate makes it a very good buy and so far it works great. So far I have been able to get out onto the internet from all over the house with the laptop so it's signal is strong enough for a home user like myself. Buy it if you need a router! Everything about it is easy!!!

I have been using the wireless router for a couple of weeks now and it's working great. For the value, I definitely can't complain. I've been getting Internet access upstairs, downstairs, and every room in my house. So far so good!

I bought this to use as wireless access point to plug into my existing WCG200 Linksys Cable Gateway (which is a piece of crap). ME1004-R is very easy to set up. Works just fine. I no longer have dropped connection issue (that I was experiencing with Linksys router). For $15, this is a great buy...

I dealt with many routers before. This is by far the easiest to set up. It has been 3 weeks and, I never had to reboot it and all my computers connect right away. The size of the router is also small and it can fit any where. The Belkin support is excellent. I had to clone the mac address before I can use this router and the Belkin team helped me with it.

I bought this router during the great xmas sale of '08. After manufacturer rebate it's $15. Straight out of the box I plugged the power in, manually typed in "192.168.2.1" to access the router configuation interface and setup the security password, and various preferences. Just like that I'm done in 5 min. Belkin did provide a setup CD which I didn't install since I can access the GUI interface directly within my Internet Explorer browser. I've used various 802.11G routers in the past including Linksys, Trendnet... and have found this to be one of the best so far. I especially like the "Port Forwarding" feature, called "Virtual Server" by Belkin, where sometimes you need to open up certain ports to receive TCP or UDP for applications such as MSN Messenger and Netmeeting. Belkin's made it really easy where you just select from a drop-down menu some popular programs, and a preset ports, including types of connections (TCP or UDP) are automatically configured for you. On other routers, I've had to search the net to find out what port #s to open for which applications. I've found this to be useful.

It's very easy to set up and very stable in my two story house. I have the signal anywhere inside my house. I have been using it for two weeks and it's been connected all the time w/o any signal drop. I am satisfied with this small box.

Although the Belkin brand name is not like linksys or netgear, it is a great wireless router for only $15. It was easy to install. The wireless router works great with no connectivity issue or bandwidth issue.

Works great and was very easy to set up. I have had no performance problems and it is very compact so it fits anywhere! Would definitely recomend if on a budget.

Was wary about buying this because it wasn't one of the top brand names but I figured that after the MIR it would only cost me 18 bucks so it was worth a try. Set up was very easy and encryption was easy as well. I live in a 2 story townhouse that is about 1600ft and the router is down stairs. I get a great signal upstairs on the whole floor. So as far as signal footprint it is pretty good Hope that helped if you were on the fence about getting it.

I have been using his product for about 2 weeks and I am very pleased. Mine came with an insert that has instructions for Windows Vista users. I configured it with no problems and it works very well. My condo has a problem with power failure during windy moments, so i do have to power the router off and back on to reset it when this happens, but I believe I would have to do that with any router.

It works well rather than other casual router. Its easy to use, booting and cute device. Waekness is on signal tansmission,not work promtly. Eventhough the item is great on the price and is excellent than the other router like at&t provides. One suspicious thing is I never get returned rebate from Buy.com promoted items. So never believe you will get MIR, but the item still worthy for $30.

Worked on my pc XP network right out of the box. Haven't tried encryption yet. One HP XP laptop was connected, and browsing on the internet, but was continuing to 'acquire network address'. It normalized when I (did something like) opened the connection properties dialog box and simply clicked 'ok'. Could have been a quirk of the laptop

Bought it and installed it on the first floor. My laptop still gets great signal on the 2nd floor. Been a couple weeks and no complaints yet.

I have used this router for over a year now and had not one problem with router. So easy to set up and worked with Vista computer with no issues. I bought two more of these for my family. Buy.com had best price with the rebate.

I got this for $15.00 shipped. This was is a great and cheap replacement for my old Linksys 802.11b. Better speed all around. Had to call support for setup help. Spoke to a real live person in under 5 minutes. He spent a good 30 minutes with me before finding out that Comcast had to externally reset my cable modem. After reset, good as gold!!!! Very good customer support.

I recommend this for normal usage, overall the router is good. Although it does not have vista support, it just take me a bit of time to get it set up and work well with vista.

This is my 1st wireless experiance, I am very pleased with it, easy to set up and use. Only problem I see,is the wireless industry uses the same people that does MPG rates for the auto industry. The distance ratings are horrible. But I only needed it for a couple of rooms.

I ordered a Ver 6000 i was delivered a Ver 1000 and spent 2 days installing it first by myself doing everything that manual said and then with help of Tech support .Finally all of us gave up and an RMA was issued . Still waiting for my replacement to come ..Hope that one works better . Just hope no one else has such a experience.

The router is great, worked without any issues. Presently the supporting software does not have Vista support, but the interface is quite intuitive. No problems with range/connectivity or anything so far. Its quite small too, unlike the bulky Linksys routers.

I have always heard Belkin routers are one of the best. At Buy.com I got a great deal on a product known for being manufactured by a reputable company. When it arrived the instructions were clear, but my internet provider was not on the list. It said to call if there were any problems. No problems they had me up and running in no time at all. Kudos Buy.com

The router was good value for price, but the range of connectivity is fairly limited, meaning you nearly need to be in the same room to connect. The web based security is kind of clunky too.

This product was very easy to install. Just follow the CD step by step instructions, and you will have no problem (it took less than 20 minutes). Had to contact customer service in order to allow my Netflix Roku box to get through the firewall, and they were great (24/7 service). Everything works great now. This router was a great deal.

I bought this router for day to day regular use. Very easy to install, strong signal inside my house, with all the necessary instructions inside the package. I do not know how this thing works for gaming and other demanding applications but for regular use is excellent.

i've had this item for about 2 months with no problems. it was very easy to set up and the router itself is small so it barely takes up any room. currently i'm in a 1 bedroom apt so i can't really comment on range, but i have excellent reception everywhere. no connectivity issues or problems whatsoever...(knocks on wood):)

I think this router is definitely a good deal. I installed easily and it's worked great. I did have to call the help line because I made a mistake (I'm not very tech saavy) but the Belkin people were great and helped install it the router.

Not having much knowledge in the electronics fileld, I always buy main stream brand name items at higher price from local stores. I read review for this product on Buy.com and decided to give a try. It is an excellent product. Took only 1-1/2 minutes to install software using Easy Install Wizard CD provided with the product. Had little glich in Comcast Modem and this router communication, but called 24-7 tech support and within next 2 minutes, my router was on. Just a reminder that after router is on, you need to turn on your network connection in your laptop computer through Control Panel. Great product, great price and excellent performance....!!

Buying this router was a great choice. It packs a punch and comes with a great price. The signal goes throughout my home, and it was so easy to setup. Also, it's very aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking for an affordable wireless router that won't make you tear your hair out, this is definitely one to try.

The signal is fine, covers my entire apartment with no problem, and when it's up it's great. However, it does disconnect an awful lot for no rhyme or reason that I can figure out, at random intervals, with or without firewall on, or security settings changed, whether the modem is cool or has been on all day, none of this seems to make a difference. However, it was very cheap and pretty sturdy for the price, and I'm not an online gamer, so it isn't a huge deal - just annoying and slightly unproductive to have to reconnect all the time.

I bought this router so I could play online with my DS. A simple job, and I didn't need a lot of speed, bells, whistles,etc. I set it up on its html page and it was very easy. Now I'm running a 2nd machine (linux)about 40 ft away, and the downloads are at full speed for my ISP. My only problem is that it gets kind of hot. I've solved this by setting it infront of the computer's intake fan. It may inhibit the range somewhat (antenna is laying almost flat on the carpet), but it works for me. Besides, why would I want to broadcast to my neighbors? WEP and WPA security work great also.

These days it seems that there just isn't that much difference between routers. Log in to the web-based admin and they all seem to provide the same basic settings. The advanced settings for this router in many cases seemed to leave me with the feeling that this wireless router is more appropriate for home than work ... which is fine because that's why I bought if ... for home use. So, because I wasn't able to identity any significant functionality differences I'm left with price being the deciding factor and I'm happy to report that price is right!

Set up in about 5 minutes with included disc, including adding security (2 levels, internet access and internal network access). Super easy to use and have had no problems! Great item, great price.

Not much to say other than this thing screams! No setup hassles at all and the setup cd was great as well. Little in size but big in performance! Definately recommended! I have had 2 other D-Link wireless routers before this one and they both were giving me issues. I was a bit leary of Belkin, but not any more. It just works.
