Ease of use is how I can rate this product. After a few glances at the quick guide, I was recording voice memos and speeches in no time. Once, when the iPod seemed to lock up, I simply unplugged the Belkin device, plugged it back in, and was functional within seconds. I'm glad they finally came up with this accessory. I've mostly used the 5G TuneTalk for recording acoustic jam sessions. It has great pickup and, with the gain turned on, it picks up even subtle sounds. One of the features it has that the other mics didn't is that you can plug it in to your iPod without taking the iPod out of its case. I have the Contour Showcase and it works perfectly with that. It also has a pass-through USB port so you can sync and charge with it attached to the iPod. Only drawback is with quieter recordings you may hear the hard drive spinning up once-in-a-while. But, it has an external microphone adapter on it so you can plug in an external mic. Was this review helpful?
