Belkin Hub works well, looks good, easy to install. I am not using it with a min mac so I would have liked a longer connecting cable instead of the 4" one supplied with the unit. I bought a second one for my PC. Other wise excellent. Was this review helpful?

The hub is compact and cleverly designed with one each FireWire and USB port in the front for easy connectivity. At the rear are three USB ports and one FireWire. I would prefer three of each, but it is what it is. The transfer rate is excellent; the included cables are sufficient for initial use. MacMini users should note that the hub is designed to match the dimensions of your computer, but is only 15mm (5/8") thick, so it fits perfectly either atop or beneath. Was this review helpful?

Duh! Why are most of the ports in the back? Only 1 each in front. Captive cable could stand to be a little longer if you are using DVI to VGA adapter on mini. A .5" less in width would give better air flow to Mac mini when under it. Was this review helpful?

My order got here a day before I expected it which was nice. It was the best price I could find and it worked perfectly and in seconds after opening the box it was doing its thing.
Just be warned this HUB is designed to sit on top of the Mac Mini or similar shaped object so the cord is very short...a couple inches...but I would rather have that than too much cord. it works great. I used to shop at ecost exclusively but this is where I come first now. Was this review helpful?

Nifty device that expands your available usb and firewire ports on the mac mini. It is a "must have" for expansion and multiple usb hubs. The cables are a little tight connecting in the rear of the mini mac but I like the neat appearance of my desktop. Overall great value. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Does NOT fit newer Mac Minis! Friday, January 25, 2008

If you have a older Mac Mini with two USB ports, this will mostly likely fit just fine. If you have the newer Mac Mini with 4 USB ports, you'll find that when trying to hook up the hub, the supplied 6-inch firewire cable is too short for the Mini and hub devices to line up properly. It is impossible to have the hub under the Mini, and if hooked up (stretched) on top of the Mini, it will not "fit" right. I had to call Belkin Sales at 800-223-5546 for a 1-foot fireware cable, which they provided at no charge. It is a shame this product does not specify it is only for the older Mac Minis. I should have noticed this though, since on the box it shows a picture of the first generation iPod Shuffle being hooked in to the front port. Was this review helpful?

Makes the MAC Mini look even better then it does. The Belkin fits perfectly under The Mini. I had no difficulty installing it. It makes the Mini that much more useful because what the Mini lacks, USB and Firewire ports on the front where it is easy to get to, the Belkin makes up for that short coming.
Buy.Com was remarkable. The product arrived promptly and in perfect condition. The cost was more then half of what my local Apple store was selling it for. Way to go Buy.Com!!!! Was this review helpful?

It looks like and works perfectly. It exactly matches the size of the mini and complements the good looks of the Apple. The front firewire and USB ports are so convenient for my flash drive and digital camera. The low price I paid at Buy.com is half the price of my local Apple store. Can't beat it or Buy.com.
