I got impatient before this item arrived due to sloe shipping on Buy.com partner's part. I went to the apple store and bought their adapter in the meantime. It had connection issues and if you moved the phone to change song, it would crackle in the speakers. That does not happen with the Belkin at all! It is pretty long but flexible to accomidate movement when moving the device to navigate the screen without and crackling in the speakers. That is why it is so long, to keep solid connection while moving which other products don't do. I am very happy with it and threw the Apple product away. Was this review helpful?

It is disappointing that Apple designed a telephone that requires this adapter. They should have know better. Since the IPhone is still a great product this adapter will solver the problem and save you a few dollars over purchasing the same item in the Apple Store. I like the fact that it is longer than necessary because hopefully it will be more noticeable and harder to lose! Was this review helpful?

The 3" converter works, and ts flexible, which is good being the length it is. I can't beleive a company like Belkin designed a converter so unnecessary long. Why? whats the benefit? it looks like a high gain antenna, i regret not looking at the size before buying. Was this review helpful?

The fact that you even need a piece like this for the iphone is B.S. Anyways it worked good and sounded great but I which it was a cord rather then the long bendable material that it is. It sticks out weird looking like you have an antenna on your phone. Was this review helpful?

Yes, the adapter is long and looks like it wouldn't be very practical. That's exactly why I didn't buy it the first time I saw it. But despite having shopped around a bit, I really couldn't find an alternative that I liked, so I got. And: it is actually better than expected!
Firstly, the adapter is manufactured very well. Both, the iPhone plug as well as the headphone socket snap easily but firmly into place and keep the headphone securely attached. I had different airplane adapters in the past that fell apart, this one has a lifetime guarantee, which I will probably never have to use.
Secondly, the middle part of the adapter is actually flexible and bends up to 90 degrees. That means you headphone jack doesn't add to the total length that sticks out of the iPhone, and I can actually see Belkin's point in that they didn't want to manufacture a piece of hard plastic that could almost stab you if you carried it in your chest pocket.
So after having used it definitely a clear buy recommendation. Was this review helpful?

The headphone adaptor works very well, i bought one for myself and for my brother. THe only problem is that it is about 2 inches long and sticks out of your iPhone. I keep it in my pocket so it doesnt bother me, but if you're holding it, it looks kind of wierd. But overall its a great product and does what you bought it for Was this review helpful?
