4 of 5 Mostly good, some kinks Sunday, July 27, 2008 A Customer from Lawrence, KS
This switch works great for me with the keyboard and monitor. But the audio is really bad from my MacBook Pro. It has way too much static to be able to use it.
Customer service not good. I emailed and asked about the problem and never got a response. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Followed written instructions, works as advertised Friday, July 25, 2008 Leo from South Riding, VA
I have an Apple Cinema 23-inch DVI Display and used the KVM switch to connect an Intel Mac Mini (running Mac OSX v10.5) and a Quicksilver PowerMac Dual 1GHz tower (w/ DVI video adapter) (running Mac OSX v10.4) to the LCD. Because of the way the connectors on the Apple Cinema Display work, I chose to connect (and leave connected) the Display USB and Firewire cables to the Mac Mini, and I do not use the audio cables on the switch because I have external USB based speakers. I primarily bought the DVI KVM Switch to use the KVM features (less audio) to connect my single DVI LCD, wired mouse, and wired keyboard to my two computers, and I pretty much got what I was looking for and am very happy with it. switched from an iogear kvm to this because of the dvi support, liked iogear better, faster switching, longer cables. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Buyer beware Monday, April 21, 2008 A Customer from Milwuakee, WI
This is one of the worst products I have ever bought. The usb key board and mouse switch part work most of the time but are unreliable. The DVI video switching (the whole reason to buy this product) is terrible. Right after a video switch the screen is mostly ok with a few bad/flickery pixel. This gets gradually worse until it is unusable. Even when most of the pixels are working ok, it cannot handle high frame rates and trying to play video games through it is impossible. I would chaulk it up to a bad device but if you google a bit you will find that it is not uncommon and warrenty replacements almost never help. The only good thing that I have to say for it is that the button switching thingy would be very nice if the switch actually worked.
To call this product garbage would be an insult to garbage ... one day I'll learn to do a bit more research before being sucked in by shiny new toys. Was this review helpful?

Easy to set up and works great. Just a few seconds to switch from my Vista to my XP computer. Happy Buyer! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Dual DVI Support - Worth Every Penny Wednesday, February 13, 2008 Shane from Santa Clara, CA
Everything worked perfectly out of the box - and the unit supports full Dual DVI resolution with no problem. The only issue I've had is you are forced to use DVI on both systems and I'd rather use VGA on one of them since it allows a higher resolution than single DVI (1920 vs. 1600). Other than that though - it's awesome - flawless operation. I use a wireless USB mouse/keyboard and it takes about 5 seconds between toggles for them to be found and work - but its not really an issue for me. Was this review helpful?
