    5 of 5 Just What I Needed Saturday, April 12, 2008

    All of the USB and Firewire 400 connections on my iMac were used up. Instead of buying a USB hub to add one more device, I decided to use the open Firewire 800 port. I needed a cable to connect the open FIrewire 800 port with the 400 port on the drive. This was for a back up drive, so buying a Firewire 800 drive did not make sense. This cable plugged right in and I've not had a problem with it. If you're running out of connections on your computer and don't want to buy a more expensive Firewire 800 device, this cable is the way to go.
