Belkin CushTop - Chocolate/Tourmaline (Chocolate/Tourmaline)

This product DOES keep your computer cool if you have quality laptop with good cooling capacity. If you have an econo-box with a thimble sized cooling fan, yes you will probably have cooling problems and you should get a fan assisted computer laptop "desk". I've had this product for about six months and my computer, a large power hog, never overheats and is always easy to use. Belkin did a great job here. But, remember, if cooling is your main problem get a fan powered cooling desk - Belkin also makes those.

The CushTop is really a wonderful product and does everything it was advertised to do. I highly recommend, not only this product, but the seller as well. Very smooth transaction all around. The CushTop is also wonderful for disabled persons and has been a true gift to me.

This Belkin Cushtop sits well on your lap with your notebook on top. Height seems fine while typing and viewing the screen. It is lightweight as well. The only drawback is how warm it gets! I was surprised to find that the cushion gets so warm. It would appear that with the hollow area in the cushion the ventilation would enable a much cooler feel of the cushion. The warmth doesn't seem to be coming from the notebook but from the actual material this cushion is made from. If you want to get your notebook off your lap and in a higher position for viewing and working... I would suggest buying this cushion. If you want your lap cooler... this just isn't the cushion for you. Thanks!

I would have given the Belkin CushTop an A+ except it doesn't keep my laptop from overheating. A couple times my laptop cutoff because it overheating while on the cushtop...and while I was completing an assignment! With the exception of those couple incidents, this product is very useful to use while in the bed completing homework. The surface is very steady and practical for lap use while on the sofa as well.

This is the 2nd cushtop that I've bought, the 2nd was for someone else. It's so handy and comfortable. Long are the days of sweaty thighs from a hot laptop. We really love the cushtop and would highly recommend it.

This is a great product for laptop lap use. The slight angle of the cush is perfect for reducing hand/wrist fatigue. The hollow center is a neat idea and although I haven't personally used it for storing anything, I might put some snacks in it later. The product is light, the laptop doesn't slide around on it, and due to the stiff design the computer receives adequate cooling. The only "con" is that it very closely matches the color of my couch, so sometimes it's hard to see right away. But then again, sometimes food in the fridge is hard to see, too.

I find the Cush Top allows for much easier use of a laptop when sitting on a couch or reclinder, etc. I was using a laptop table but had to sit on the edge of the furniture, which made using the laptop very awkward not to mention the strain on your back. The laptop table legs were unable to slip beneath any of my living room furniture. With the Cush Top I'm now able to sit comfortably and use my laptop just about anywhere in or around my home. I wish I had bought this before purchasing the laptop table at 3 times the price of the Cush Top.

Great solid base for using your notebook on your lap. Keeps the heat off your lap. Ergonomically, this base is excellent. It raises the laptop to a more comfortable viewing level for less neck strain. Keyboard feels easier to type on as well. The material covering the dense foam is made of a durable microfiber material. Feels and looks more like a soft polyester......not the suede like texture of most microfiber. One word of caution though; if your laptop puts out a lot of heat, ie. gamers notebook, I would be afraid that the excessive heat may melt the microfiber material. Also, the cubby in the middle of the Cushtop is very narrow. I could just fit my hp 15" notebook a/c module in there, and it is only an inch thick. My old Dell inspiron a/c adapter just wouldn't fit. Be cautious of the heat coming off your adapter as well. I could see how heat could build up in the a/c adapter and possibly melt the inside of the cubby; even more dangerous would be the possibility of a fire hazard due to poor ventilation. I think it is great though. My morning emials and coffee have never been more enjoyable. Cubby hole measures 1" wide at it's widest to 1/2" at the narrow end. Cubby is 8" long.

This is THE answer for being able to use your laptop comfortably while sitting on a chair, recliner, bed, etc. It keeps the heat off your lap, and the storage area for cords in wonderful, especially since I need to plug in my wireless unit for my track ball. Keeps everything neat and tidy. Best price you will find out there is right here, through Buy.com, with free shipping to boot! I highly recommend this product. I only wish there were more color choices, like Navy, Purple, Pink!

I've had this product for roughly 3 weeks and love it. I wish it looked a little better but it keeps the soldiers from melting, so mission accomplished!

I bought this for my wife since she often uses her laptop while sitting on the sofa and watching TV. She was using a throw pillow which worked OK but certainly wasn't firm like Belkin Cushtop. This is a perfect item for what she uses it for although I don't see it being practicle for taking it on travels other than a road trip. It would suit very well for car or train travel but not for air as the Cushtop is not meant to be "packed" or squeezed down like a pillow. Buy.com had the best price and free shipping. Awesome deal!

I purchased this product because a friend had one and I loved it. This is the best notebook lapdesk. My notebook stays right where you place it and doesn't move and it displaces the heat from the notebook really well. I would absolutely recommend this product!!
