5 of 5 Works GREAT! Saturday, October 17, 2009 Blades from Mutespeak, Alaska
I was skeptical about this product at first. I have others that would do the same but a hassle to get to the Power on switch.
To make a short story shorter...THIS works just like I wanted to. I am seriously thinking of purchasing 2 more for home use. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good way to save power Monday, June 15, 2009 Corey from Minneapolis, MN
the power strip works as designed. the remote is a little sensitive, or my battery is going dead sooner than expected. Have to get pretty close to the strip for it work at time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good deal and good product! Saturday, March 28, 2009 P from Thornton, NH
Love this power strip! I have an LCD monitor that I am using for a tv and there is no way to turn it on and off remotely. I plug it into this power strip and use the remote and it works perfectly! Love it! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Delivers as promised Thursday, February 26, 2009 David Grorud from Eau Claire, WI
Although I had some issues setting this surge protector up even after I matched the radio frequencies, I would definitely recommend Belkin's energy-saving surge protector. It has already saved me a few dollars in the first couple months by powering down my TV and all the peripherals when I'm not using it! The remote switch works well even though I wish it was a little more consistent, so that I wouldn't have to push it twice to power off my TV. Overall, this is an excellent product at a very good price! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works as advertised Tuesday, February 03, 2009 Greg from Baton Rouge, LA
A great way to shut down those components not needed when I'm away. The remote works very well. I have the surge protector hidden behind my entertainment center, but it still turns on and off with the remote. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Energy saver Monday, February 02, 2009 A Customer from milwaukee
What a great idea for a fair price. I use it to easily shut off all my electronics that use quit a bit of standbye power like my big screen TV,XBOX,stereo,DVD. I also got one for my computer. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 smart power strip Wednesday, January 28, 2009 A Customer from downsville ny
Works as advertized. Instructions say to turn off connected components before turning off power strip. I believe a diffferent mfg. strip for computers allows you to power up and shut down w/ out individually shutting things off. I got this to allow me to keep the cordless phone and lamp, etc, powered while preventing power drain from tv, dvd, etc.
Cons: Cord is on the short side, wider/ bulkier than conventional power strip. Remote and strip must be configured individually (when using more than one) or else you turn off all the strips (some may find this a useful feature). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Energy Saver Monday, January 26, 2009 William from Yuma AZ
Simple set-up easy to use. Eliminated a second piggy backed surge protector. We Love it AAA+++
We'll buy another for our home in WA too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Idea Thursday, January 22, 2009 chris from milwaukee, wi
I have recently taken to turning off all my electronics that use standbye power. I used to use a power strip to turn everything off, but that was a pain. Now I use the Belkin remote on/off power strip, just a flick of the remote controller bye my chair and I am all set. I am probably going to buy on for my computer and printer now. 5 of 5 Easy to use and conserve energy Monday, January 12, 2009 Phil from Santa Monica, CA
Works great! I bought 2 of these Belkin units – one for my computer set-up (Mac, printer, speakers, phone chargers, wireless router) and one for my TV set-up (LCD, DVD player, stereo system, TiVO, Cable box). I installed the remote switch next to my door and set each surge protector to the same channel setting, so when I leave for work or go to bed, I hit the switch and presto, everything powers down. I was impressed by the remote control distance, since my computer and TV are in different rooms. This product is well designed, easy to set up, and very intuitive to use. If you are in the market for some extra outlets, this product is great value. Although I use these mainly for convenience, I’m sure I’ll notice some $ savings on my electric bill. 5 of 5 Belkin Conserve Monday, December 15, 2008 A Customer from Miami, Fl
The remote works well. It doesn't have to be pointed directly at the power strip. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 works as advertised Tuesday, December 02, 2008 CoCoBwArEz from Decatur, GA
That's pretty much all there is....it works as advertised. The only minor things are that the form factor looks cheaper in hand than it does online. Another thing is that the battery for the wireless switch is a type A23 battery which looks like an "AA" battery cut in half. I'm sure I won't have one on hand if and when it does die. Otherwise, this surge protector is simple and works just as expected and advertised. Was this review helpful?
