 Editor's Note
Tenants of a slum building need all the help they can get when their evil landlord threatens to evict them and raze their building in a fit of 1980s-style greed. Unexpected help arrives in the form of small extraterrestrial robot-like creatures who come to town and cleverly join the battle. Real-life husband and wife team Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy lead the tenement dwellers in a Capra-meets-Spielberg touch. Directed by Matthew Robbins, co-writer of Steven Spielberg's first film, THE SUGARLAND EXPRESS and 1997's MIMIC. Co-writer Brad Bird went on to work on THE SIMPSONS. Produced by Steven Spielberg.
