Album Notes and Credits

Notes & Personnel Info
Liner Note Authors: John Morthland; Barry Williams.
Recording information: 1970-1971.
The four-disc box set Barry Williams Presents: 70s Music Explosion collects a solid cross-section of classic "Me Generation" cuts. Conceptualized around Brady Bunch alum and TV icon Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady), this kitschy and colorful set comes packaged retro-style in an old-school 7" record box. Also included is a thin booklet featuring a reminiscence by Williams as well as liner notes by music writer John Morthland. Showcased here are such well-known tracks as Bay City Rollers' "Saturday Night," Terry Jacks' "Seasons in the Sun," and 10cc's "'I'm Not in Love," as well as some lesser-known cuts including Maureen McGovern's "'The Morning After" and Jim Stafford's "Spiders and Snakes." While this is a fun set with a generous and varied track listing, the somewhat over-the-top packaging promises a bit more than it actually delivers. ~ Matt Collar

5 of 5 One Hit Wonders- Fun Listening Wednesday, September 20, 2006
Dr. Dave from West Paterson, New Jersey

One Hit Wonders will bring you back to the 70's again. I loved all the songs except "Like a Rock." I would have preferred Jigsaw's "Sky High" or the Raspberries "Please, go all the way." I like the fact that there was some 70's disco as well. It is a nice mix!

5 of 5 Blast from the Past! Thursday, September 07, 2006
Joey from Indianapolis, IN
This CD is a great compilation of songs from the 70's (compiled by one of the biggest 70's star ever!) I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I keep it in my car for when I need to remember simpler times.
