My 10-year-old neice is kind to animals and insects, but she doesn't like spiders in the house. With this fabulous bug vac she can catch a spider harmlessly and then release it outdoors. This was a big hit with her 4-year-old brother who might be getting one for Christmas!

although it is winter, my boys have played with these bug vacuums since they got them. they were actually able to find and catch a fly which they thought was the coolest. we are very anxious for spring and summer to really be able to put them to use.

Christmas gift for my 3 yr old who is a bug lover. He wanted to stop in the middle of all the Christmas morning activities to go outside to find bugs. I finally consented but alas, no bugs, it was too cold. It will get more use in the summer as I am an avid gardener and he loves to help, rather, loves to dig for worms and look for rolly pollys.
