At first I had problems using this product so I called their tech support. After being patient with me and walking me through troubleshooting the problem, we found out that the problem was on my side. My hard drive had corrupt sectors and was about to die. Here is the best part: They actually created a special version of the software and emailed it to me so I could back up my hard drive before it completely died. I have never seen anyone do anything like this before. Once I got the special version of the software, it took me about 5 minutes to install and backup all of my important documents. I installed a new hard drive and restored all of my documents from the old hard drive in less than 5 minutes.

It seems like a great idea, but when you go to backup your drive a second time it locks up. Manufacture says it is a glinch in there software and they are working on a Fix. Its been two weeks and no fix. Was this review helpful?

When I saw this item on sale at Buy.com, I thought it sounded like exactly what we needed. Too bad it doesn't work the way it says it does. Apparently, it's designed so that all you have to do is connect it and then press the ENTER key (except for Vista users, which we're not). But it didn't work at all on our first computer, and on our second, I had to pull up the program through Windows Explorer just to get it to open. For XP users who have multiple accounts on one machine, this only backs up per user, not for the whole machine. There is a customizable file backup component, except it won't back up certain types of files. And it only holds some of the data for one of our user accounts on this machine, so we still need another backup method for the rest of the data on this machine, plus the second machine this doesn't work on at all. Basically, this has become a very pricy 4GB flash drive for us, since the software doesn't work the way we need it to. And it's the slowest 4GB flash drive we've ever seen. We're NOT happy! I have not used the back up key but I purchased it for a ridculously low price. I purchased it so I will have it when I need it. I liked the idea that I would not have to configure the back up key. Great purchase for the money. Was this review helpful?
