In this romantic comedy, Ricki Lake (Hairspray, Mrs. Winterbourne) and Craig Sheffer (A River Runs Through It) star in a tale that proves that in matters of the heart, charm and attitude are what really count. Grace (Lake) is a young but overweight mortuary cosmetician whose upbeat outlook on life is undermined by her critical family and humorless girlfriend. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she spies a handsome subway motorman (Sheffer) on her way to work. It's love at first sight--at least for Grace. She sets out to win him at any cost, ignoring that he's already engaged to someone else. What follows is a whirlwind courtship, where girl seduces boy with surprising results.
