1 of 5 Would be great if it worked!! Tuesday, March 04, 2008 A Customer from Kimberly, WI
Easy to use. Remote is nice. Adjustable brightness, color, transitions, etc. I thought it was awesome for the price. Then I turned it on. Thought I did something wrong because the screen was a little bit brighter than black. Couldn't get it to work and being that I bought it back in July for a Christmas present, no more warranty.. 5 of 5 Easy to use Wednesday, January 02, 2008 A Customer from Cincinnati
It was easy to load pictures onto the frame. I only wish it would hold more pictures. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great gift Wednesday, January 02, 2008 A Customer from Ontario, OR
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves it. I can't tell you a lot about the different features since I haven't used it, however, I have seen it and the picture seems clear and she said that it is quite easy to use. Was this review helpful?

For the price, I didn't expect this little frame to perform miracles. Display JPEG's, play MP3's, and do both while sitting on my desk and not falling over. Mission Accomplished.
But, there are some things that need addressing. With the LCD's resolution of 480x234, you can resize (a lot of) images and put them onto a dedicated SD card for use in the frame. The problem is, with the default FAT file system SD cards use, you're limited to 512 files in the root directory. The frame doesn't support cards formatted in NTFS, though FAT32 works.
Another issue I have with the device is it's meager instructions. Ok, it's a no-brainer for me to get it going, but what of the people I sent it to as a gift? I expect many phone calls in the near future.
Lastly, random picture playback is a must in a device of this type. Every time you start a slideshow of images, it will load the images in alphbetical order, meaning that every slideshow you view will be in the same order as the last time you saw it. I solved this by using a utility named "Bulk Rename Utility", a freeware program that will radomize and rename selected files with a couple clicks. This way, I can pop the SD into my PC once a week and shuffle the card's contents, though the facility should've been built into the frame in the first place. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 bad directions Monday, December 31, 2007 dinasexton from Birmingham, Al
The directions were very unclear especially when it came to setting up the MP3 capabilities with the slideshow. I still haven't gotten it to work correctly. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 format exclusive by port Sunday, December 30, 2007 Tami from Brooklyn, NY
Worked great right out of the box; stupid-friendly controls, you don't even need to read instructions. The remote is a cute & useful accessory. The only thing that annoys me is that only the USB port plays jpeg's! It won't even recognize those same pix if they are on the SD card, and since a majority of today's pictures are jpeg's, you're forced to use a USB drive which sticks 1-2 inches outa the side of the frame. Not a deal breaker of course, and doesn't mar its performance but still annoying.
The SD slot is low profile & hides behind the white bezel. Both SD & USB play mp3 without a problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value for a medium size frame Friday, December 28, 2007 Linda from Syracuse, NY
I purchased the Axion 7' digital photo frame as a gift for my brother's family. It worked well on its first use Christmas day. It is a good product and a great price. Good value. I like the Axion products. I might look for a slightly larger frame if I were to purchase this again.
There should be more simple detailed instruction on its uses.
My family loved this gift.
Great product, great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Friday, December 28, 2007 Rich Reith from Atlanta
The ultimate Grandma's Brag Book. The picture is good, and it is pretty intuitive to use. The battery in the remote died the first day, but otherwise it has met or exceeded our expectations. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice unit Friday, December 28, 2007 JR from Indpls, Indiana
I shopped pretty heavily for these and purchased 3 of this model. I also bought a Westinghouse 7" that does offer a mosaic display of 3 or 4 pictures. The Axion units have excellent picture quality and are very user friendly. All worked perfect out of the box. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pretty good Friday, December 28, 2007 Bgilly from Baton Rouge
I bought this to replace the Audiovox frame I had bought from Buy.com that was a few features less than advertised. It is identicle in everyway to the Audiovox (chasis wise) so that confirms that there is one or two manufacturers and several companies putting their label on the unit. Anyway, it works pretty good. It will automatically resize your photo to fit the frame which will result in the back bars (at the sides or top and bottom) depending on your overall photo size. I loaded mp3's onto the SD card along with the photo files and it worked just fine playing music and slideshow. There is a slight "click" between music files which I could only here when I was holding the frame. Be careful to keep file sizes under 1200 pixels (height or width) or it slows the picture loading down considerably. You can adjust the slideshow times but not slideshow order. A good value. 4 of 5 Good value Friday, December 28, 2007 Mike from Rochester, NY
I bought this because it was the least expensive 7" frame I had seen. Also, because it accepts a good variety of memory card types. I had some Compact Flash cards laying around from an old camera, and this is a great use for them. It didn't come with a usb cable, and it requires a special one (A to A, I think). Using my own cable, I was unable to see either the internal memory, or the installed CF card, on my computer. It could be something I missed, or am not doing right. I have to play with it a bit more. I transferred pictures to the CF card using a card reader on my PC, and plugged it into the frame, and the pictures began displaying in slide-show mode with no problem. I had to delete the 6 or so pre-loaded pictures from the internal memory using the buttons on the back of the frame, and the on-screen menus. It was cumbersome because you can't see the buttons and the front of the frame at the same time. The frame comes with a remote, which might make this process easier, but I haven't tried it yet. I think it will run on batteries, but I have only used it with the ac adapter. It has a bright, nice looking picture. Resolution is low, but adequate.
Pros: Great price, fast delivery, nice looking picture, takes CF cards, comes with remote, easy on/off.
Cons: No usb cable included. USB hasn't worked for me yet. Pre-loaded images are unnecessary, and a pain to delete without usb capability. Manual doesn't give much info.
Overall - It does what it's supposed to do and is a good value. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good for price Thursday, December 27, 2007 santoshnag from Texas
This one I brought few days back, It is working great with less price. I loaded pics from the 6.0 mega pixel camera those are not so clear or bright as of the sample photos given in the frame by manufacture. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little picture frame! Thursday, December 20, 2007 Asteigrod from Atlanta, GA
No issues. Works great with jpgs or MP3's. Word of caution...Make sure all picture and music files are in the root of the card. Else I've seen some of the pics get screwed up cause it apparently gets confused on the folders. Enjoy! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Unlimited Pictures Friday, December 14, 2007 bugspop1 from Fort Wayne, Indiana
Bought this frame for my wife for her birthday. Every time we were in a store and walked by a Digital Picture Frame she would stop and watch it for a minute or so. This is why I decided to purchase a Digital Picture Frame for her. So far she loves it. I'm the one that put the pictures on it for her. It works out really nice, our Digital Camera uses Compact Flash (CF) and our Daughters uses Secure Digital (SD). We can just pop out the disk and put it in the correct slot on the back of the frame and we have pictures. Overall a nice frame with good functions. Haven't had time to incorporate mp3 into the slide shows yet. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 finally a great solution for all your digital pix! Thursday, December 13, 2007 A Customer from Long Island, NY
In the age where digital cameras are the norm, it makes perfect sense to have a product like this, rather than print out all your photos using expensive glossy paper and expensive ink cartridges! Finally, a way to easily show off your photographic talents to all your guests, without any work! Just remove the SD card out of your camera and insert into this frame, and it does the rest.
Two points I'd like to share...first, this thing takes ALL types of memory, e.g. compact flash (remember these?); SD cards, Xd cards, memory sticks, MMC...so I'm thankful I saved some CF cards that don't fit my new camera. So all I need to do is transfer over camera memory to the CF card...so I don't tie up my 2 GB card in this thing. This product is best used with other media than tying up your active camera flash card.
Second thing, on a more somber note, how many of you have attended wakes / funerals where hard-copy photos on a corkboard were displayed? This frame would be perfect item that that purpose, a presenting a slide show put to music (mp3) of your life. Not what I first thought of when I bought this, but my practical wife thought of this. What a thoughtful idea for a loved one at a funeral!
Overall I think this is an awesome product and recommend it highly! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Parent Gifts! Friday, November 30, 2007 B MacShara from Commerce, MI
Both my parents and my In-laws loved the picture frames. The brightness is adjustable, it plays MP3 files and you can update memory cards & sticks with new photos. Was this review helpful?

Instructions are not the greatest, but once you understand how to work this, it is very nice. I lowered the resolution of the pictures to fit the frame, and the quality is great. I used a 2gb jump drive, and yes it sticks out the side, but I don't mind, and I have 350 pictures plus 45 minutes of music <mp3>, with extra room to add more pictures and music later. It comes with the AC cord, and I wish there was some battery operation to it. It is easier to function with the remote control than the buttons on the frame itself. The amount of time between pictures can be set for a few different amounts, but I found there is plenty of viewing time with the lowest setting. If you have more pictures than music, the music will start back at the beginning until the photos are done being seen. I am very happy I bought this, especially at the low price buy.com offered and with the $12 rebate, which came in the mail 2 days ago. I keep looking for another one, it will make an awesome gift. 4 of 5 pretty good Friday, September 28, 2007 Scott from Clovis, CA
not the best resolution, but not bad either and it would be nice if it would take advantage of the full screen on it's own as opposed to the user needing to crop all pictures to a widescreen size, but it is pretty good for the price.
I'd also like to have a timer or somethign so it would go off automatically at night, either a photocell or a built in clock with preset on off times would be a good feature Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice Little Frame plus extra features Thursday, September 27, 2007 flash2001 from Panama City FL
I got this frame for a stupid low price plus a $12 rebate that I forgot to file for duh. Intuitive remote control lets you set all aspects of display and playback of your jpeg images, plus it also plays mp3 music, although the speaker quality is subpar at best. The frame supports virtually all flavors of digital memory (MS, CF, SD, etc) and also USB memory. It's a good size for my desk at work, not too small and not too big. Was this review helpful?

After the rebates (assuming I get the checks) I would have paid about $45 which is a good deal for what I got.
At the same time you get what you paid for - don't expect the crispiness of current monitors, think of it as of a low resolution screen, to be seen from 3-4 feet away not closer or you start to get disappointed.
Makes a good present for grandparents - they don't fuzz about the details

4 of 5 Good Value, Nice-Looking Frame Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Tami W. from Mpls, MN
This digital frame is very easy to use and has a very handsome appearance. The buy.com price for a digital frame was unmatched. I bought two; one to keep and one to give as a gift, for the same price I would have paid for one frame elsewhere. Only disappointment is that it only runs on AC; there's no option to run it on batteries. However, for the money, I'm very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works as advertised Tuesday, September 25, 2007 chaschip86 from Laguna Niguel, CA
For a 7" screen picture frame digital photo viewer for under $60, this works quite well. It is easy to use either with or without the remote. It can also store up to 15 photos and play background music as an MP3 file. Good contrast, but the resolution is not the best. Also, it handles all types of memory cards. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 G from Los Angeles, CA
This is a great product. The pictures look good and it works well with playing music with the pictures. The only downpoint is functionality. I had to turn the brightness down because all of the pictures look too bright. Was this review helpful?

My only knock is that the remote doesn't have an on/off. Seems pointless to have a remote without that feature. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great buy & east setup! Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Todd from Eastern, NC
You can't go wrong with this LCD photo frame! The display looks great in the daylight or dark. It's very easy to setup although the instructions leave a bit to be desired. The remote control is nice to have although it would be nice if it turned the photo frame on and off. Other than that, this is great and well worth the money. My wife's been wanting one of these for a long time and this was a Christmas gift. I wanted her to have it as soon as it arrived so she got an early gift. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 good frame for this price Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Excell from VA
I bought it couple months ago.I caught a perfect deal.Price was about $48 after rebate.I tried with 128mb sd memory and usb flash drive. It works little bit slow but this is not a big deal for me.Screen resolution good enough for 7" screen.Material of the frame polished plastic.looks good.
In conclusion If you want to spend $45-65 you can think about this product. If you say I need to see crystal clear pictures you should spend $100-$155 Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very satisfied Tuesday, September 25, 2007 cwodave from Manchester, PA
Very nice. Easy to operate. I'm don't think I could stand more than one of these in a room. It might be a little distracting trying to keep up with watching more than one. I had to play a little with picture size to find what worked for me to make use of the full screen on the frame. I found that using 230 pixels/inch and crop to 1380 X 719 pixels filled the screen with a good quality picture. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Pretty Good Tuesday, September 25, 2007 jm from San Diego
Works well so far. Picture is great. SD card allows picture change to be good. If hanging on wall power block a bit chunky. Controls are on top so if hanging can be a problem. Auto time on/off would be nice. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Satisfied Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Johnson City, TN
This was my first experience with a digital photo frame, and I'm pleased with this product. It was a simple matter to set up the frame, put photos on the SD card and get things running as desired. The one feature I wish this frame had is the ability to run on batteries alone. Though I would like to have a larger display, I got what I ordered and it performs as advertised. I am so sorry to write to you this. I ordered this product for taking with us for our vacation trip to different places for two weeks. Planned to give as a gift to my sister-in-law. Once we reach there and opened the package there is no USB cable to import any picture from any where.
Is that included in this or not?
Please let me know.

4 of 5 Excellent digital picture frame for the price Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Kelly Leinbach from Newton, KS
I am very pleased with the overall quality of this picture frame. The picture is very clear and crisp and the sound is sufficient for filling our living room and kitchen. My only two gripes are (and don't let these keep you from buying this frame) that the picture does not display on the entire frame, and the volume has to be changed by going through the main menu.
It is definitely worth the price I paid, AND my wife loves it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Above average Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from NYC, NY
For the price, the photoframe is an adequate value. It does cycle through pictures without a problem. It seems to perform as designed. The only major drawback is that you can see the black interlace lines in the picture. It's a bit distracting. However for 50 bucks it's okay. I would spend more for a higher end frame that looks a bit nicer and has a better pixel count. Was this review helpful?

We wrote this info twice before but it has for some reason never showed up, and likely this won't either, but here goes.... The advertised "built in stereo speakers" do not exist. Even the "expert reviewer" referred to them. Not very expertly of him, since there is only one speaker; the second speaker cut out is just a dummy. It "looks" like there are a pair of speakers, but it's a fakery. Nobody seemed to notice. The sound still is fine, but it's not stereo. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Holy Effin'... Friday, August 17, 2007 Raul Landeo from Forest Hills, NY
I love this thing. It's takes some getting used to the controls, but the remote does everything I need it to do. It plays my MP3s and pictures beautifully. You can even change it from landscape to portrait. For the money, I never saw anything else that even came close, especially for a 7 inch screen. Was this review helpful?

I don't know what are the "bands" that the official reviewer was complaining about, we saw no bands or other imperfections in the pictures on this machine. Yes the resolution is low, but so is the price. We found that by shrinking the pictures down to fit the machine, the clarity was greatly increased. The machine size is nominally 480x234. If you take a 1600x1200 original and resize it to such dimension, and add THAT to the machine, you get a terific image. Actually we found that 480x250 to be the perfect size, giving you no black borders either on top or on the sides. The only complaint I have is that the software does not allow randomizing the display or the MP3s. Both march along in strict order, and if you turn the frame off, you start at the beginning. yes, you can go into the menu and start from a later point, the the progression is still one after the other vs random. Incidently, there is only one speaker, even tho there are two speaker cut outs. One of them is an empty dummy. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Works as advertized Wednesday, August 15, 2007 A Customer from WA
Whereas it clearly states that the format is Widescreen, I didn't comprehend that the default for my camera is not. It leaves 1" black bands on each vertical side like watching a normal channel on a Widescreen TV. I have to select pictures that have enough wasted space on top and/or bottom to crop out to make them a widescreen format with 3rd party software (tedious). My other digital camera has a widescreen format but I don't want to default the camera to widescreen because most other uses prefer 4 x 6.
I use the SD slot for memory so I don't have a problem with it sticking out beyond the frame.
It needs a volume knob or setting for MP3s.
Still a good price for 7" with multiple memory inputs, MP3 capability and remote control. Was this review helpful?
