 Editor's Note
The children's cable network Nickelodeon fashions an American spin on Japanese anime with their original series AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. On a futuristic Earth torn between the warring elements of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire, only one special being known as the Avatar can bring peace to the conflicted planet. The trouble is, the Avatar is an immature 12-year-old boy called Aang, who would rather wander the world having fun-filled adventures than settle down and face his heroic destiny. AVATAR ably blends kids-oriented comedy with martial-arts action-adventure worthy of its Japanese counterparts. This collection presents the series' second season in its entirety.

5 of 5 Keeps you wanting more Friday, March 13, 2009 E from Millbrae, CA
I was hesitant to watch it before on TV, but now I can't wait to buy the 3rd season. I love it! Enjoyed it a lot even though it's for little kids, I'm sure it would keep little ones entertained. Was this review helpful?

Quality animation and a storyline more mature than you would expect from a children’s cartoon. My only complaint is the animators occasionally let the animation drop to the trappings of traditional anime with overdone character exaggeration. Purely a stylistic choice and worth watching regardless of how you feel about that. Was this review helpful?

This is one of the greatest animated series since the 80's. Not only is the animation great, but the storyline is even better. This is a must have for all ages. Was this review helpful?

How can you not love Aang, Sakka, Katara, Toph and of course Prince Suko. I've watch all the Avatar series and I love them all. I have the 1st and 2nd collection now and waiting for the 3rd collection to come out. The story line in the life of the Airbending Aang is great and lovable. Was this review helpful?
