5 of 5 lookin' good Monday, October 26, 2009 A Customer from Culpeper, VA
I brought this antenna hoping it would give me the reception that I needed without having an exterior antenna installed. The set-up was really easy. I am using the antenna with a digital converter box and the reception is great! I am glad I made this purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Terk TV5 Thursday, January 15, 2009 doggieman from Salem, MA
I'm about 20 miles north of Boston. Took it out of the box; put it together; plugged it in; and about 20 stations come in crystal clear. It doesn't get any easier! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Couldnt get normal channels Tuesday, August 12, 2008 A Customer from alameda ca
I couldnt even get fox in san francisco with this item. My old rabbit ears get it just fine. I bought this as an upgrade for my rabbit ears for my digital converter box and was hoping my signal strength would be strong, it was the same as the rabbit ears though. Thanks for nothing Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 works for me Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Paul from waco, tx
I tried one other RCA amplified antenna from Target, and it did not pick up all my local channels, and it also looked obnoxious. This one is completely hidden from view, and manages to bring in all my local digital channels. I think that this is the kind of thing that you just have to try several out to find out which one works for you... Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works in the DC area for Digital Tuesday, May 06, 2008 Jack from Arlington, VA
Out of disgust with the predominant DC cable company, I opted to get the Terk and see if it would bring in the local stations. Digital reception is fantastic, but analog is only so-so. The Terk has proven to be an excellent alternative to paying the monthly cost of cable or satellite. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Satisfied Wednesday, January 30, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, Illinois
This is my 4th antenna and my last. I live on the border of Chicago. With this antenna, the reception is wonderful. If you have the right space this antenna could be an advantage. I was hesitant to order an antenna on-line. I already had bought 3, and they had to be returned. I have low ceilings so I had no choice but to get this model on-line. I am very satisfied with it. 5 of 5 Does the job for me in Chicago Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Chicago, IL
In Chicago all the stations come from one antenna but one (CBS). This antenna does the job pretty well for me. Initially I thought I could work it without plugging the amplifier in, but then found on different days there would be interference with signal. Simply plugging the antenna in seemed to boost signal even while keeping the power switch in the off position. Even then...occasionally inteference would ruin the day...so now I just leave well enough alone and leave it on all the time. All stations in the Chicago area plus some come in great in digital HD and SD and regular analog too. CBS HD and analog remain the holdouts, but I guess at least I have snowy analog signal. I leave it one place, no adjustments during channel switching. It sits on my tv stand behind my flatscreen. I'm not going to dock the performance based on CBS's choice in broadcasting antennas. 4 of 5 ok Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from buffalo ny
unit takes up a lot of space, it works well if you have the room but i went and bought a phillips amplified antenna and was absolutely happy with its performance. I'll keep this for a back up or a small room tv

5 of 5 Good product Thursday, February 15, 2007 same from san jose, CA
When I turn on the amplifier it can pull in the weak signal, and less noise. Somehow it only has UHF like 19, 25, 36,and up. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great Sunday, February 11, 2007 A Customer from Jax FL
I have tried several HD antenna and the terk 5 has worked the best. I now have two of these antennas. If you get the electric rotator for the others maybe they would work better. For HD in my area it only takes a small turn to make the channel come in perfect. I also pick up more channels with this antenna than I did with the more expensive models. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Better than rabbit ears Friday, September 24, 2004 Matt from Bellevue, WA
This product was an improvement over both the dipole antenna included with my Hitachi TV and rabbit ears from a local electronics retailer. It is not as good as a rooftop antenna, however. If you have the option, go with the rooftop antenna. If you live in a condo or apartment, consider this as an option to an expensive cable service. In some cases I need to change the antenna orientation when changing stations but it is easy to do. Was this review helpful?
