I own it.
I use it 15 ft away. Actually, I am using a projector, beamed at a wall. I point my remotes at the blank wall, with the terk unit pointed at the wall, and the remote ir signal bounces off the wall- to the terk unit, and all of my remotes work flawlessly.
People that complain about this product simply do not know how to use it. Read the instruction manual. Was this review helpful?

Connected everything up according to the directions and it works perfectly. Now my daughter has her LCD TV on the wall and a DVR in her closet taking up unused space.

Most folks rated this product well and for good reason. I think the important thing is that when you position the receiver and transmitter you have to point the LED right at the components and yourself. The gray sides do not contain the LED. Rather, they are on the edge. Once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing and have made me very happy. Was this review helpful?

I have a set of the triangular Leapfrogs as shown and am very happy with their performance. HOWEVER the product has changed and I recieved a SQUARE set and the range of the transmitter to recieve the IR source is only about 10 feet - Nothing like the range of the previous product. I reciently went to purchase this product from an electronics store. I found that TERK had used the EXACT same model name for this as the newer inferior version of this product. It's a square shape and has VERY limited remote reception (typically within 3 or 4 INCHES from the reciever). Make sure your buying the one in the picture and NOT the one that is currently being sold under the same name. Was this review helpful?

This product was recommended to me by a satellite installer. It works great. I am using it between the basement and a 1st floor bedroom and there has been no problem controlling the satellite receiver. I would highly recommend this product - great value!!! Was this review helpful?
