I bought the Amp1, pre-amp /tuner2 and this EQ for a stereo system in my office/den. People have said I didn't need an equalizer, because it changes the sound of the original recording. Duh! That's why I bought it. I like some extra bass and sometimes treble in my music and the "tone" controls are not as precise as I want. The system sounds great, with or without the EQ, but why not customize the sound to what I wanted? Anyway, I could not be more happy with the system. Everyone who has heard it agrees that it sounds great!
