I got the partypod to listen to OTR files on my mp3. Because they are old recordings and not in stereo the sound quality is not always very good. The speaker in the partypod is actually fairly loud, clear and easy to hear. It is far superior to some other inexpensive portable mp3 speakers I have used. It is somewhat large and clunky to hang from your belt by the clip so I ended up carrying it from spot to spot and sitting it down nearby. It was not quite as good for listening to music, of course you would get better sound with headphones, but you could still use it for music. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it. Was this review helpful?

This is a great invention! It will work with any device that has a standard headphone plug. The only issue I have is that it's a little bit large. I had a case for my mp3 player and earbud headphones that I clipped to my belt loop at work. This party pod is way easier to use for listening than untangling earbuds all the time BUT this case is too large and heavy to clip to my belt loop and be comfortable. This does not deter me from using it however. I highly recommend this. Plus the case is large enough that you can put other things in it besides your mp3 player... like a pack of smokes. :-) Was this review helpful?

great concept, great battery life. the only negative I have is that it should be able to handle higher volume. since this is a product attractive to outdoor enthusiasts, there is often "background" noise that needs to be compensated for. Was this review helpful?

This is a well-designed, handy little speaker/amp/case combo unit. I wasn't expecting much from the (single) flat speaker, but it surprised me with its very good sound quality. It's not going to sound as good as a 'real' set of speakers, but it does what I need very well. The "water-resistant" case is a hard-shell, and is a useful addition.
I received this item two days after I ordered it, even with Buy.com's Free Budget Shipping. It shipped the day after I ordered and only took one day to reach me from PA. Buy.com may have increased the # of their warehouse locations in the last few years. Very nice.
