I wanted a microphone for gaming, and I didn't want to give up my great headphones. This microphone is awesome. The sound is clear and crisp, and I can clip it to my shirt without having to hold it right up to my lips. It also can be turned off and on, and runs off a small battery. I have a playstation 3 so I had to get an UBS adapter to plug the microphone into. I highly recommend this product.

Based on the picture, I would never have ordered this mic unless I had heard it in use. It's so small and inexpensive that I would have written it off as "cheap" -- but it is not. The one I bought has served me well for over a year 3 times a week on my Dave the Painting Guy oil painting broadcast on ustream.tv. The long wire or cord allows me to get up from my easel and go grab this or that without removing the mic, if need be (I'd rather have too much wire than too little). Then again, I am here to buy another one to replace my original since I ran over the wire a few-too-many times with my rolling chair and I think I broke the wire inside. My bad. Just go to Dave the Painting Guy (dot) com and you can hear how nicely it works, from any of several hundred videos recorded on my channel.

Great microphone; very good quality for the price. The only downside is a ridiculously long cord.
