I'm extremely satisfied with the ATH-ES7. Great sound reproduction, great looks and durability. I use them on the train to work everyday and they work great with just the right amount of insulation. A great value at the price.

I bought these headphones thanks to glowing reviews over at head-fi.org. I was not disappointed. Aside from looking like a million bucks these headphones produce amazing sound. The highs have a magical sparkle without sounding harsh. The mids are forward and clean. The bass is tight and punchy without being boomy or over-intense. These are a great value in comparison to any headphone on the market and possibly the best closed back headphone available within a $100-$200 range. They simply blow the Bose Triports out of the water in all aspects from sound reproduction to looks to overall build quality. The package includes a really nice velvet bag and a cleaning cloth to wipe the inevitable fingerprints off the housing. The ATH-ES7 is made in Japan and has really high quality construction. These headphones are also comfortable to wear and don't clamp your head like the K81DJ. Don't be upset if they don't blow you away right out of the box, it takes a good week or so of use until the sound rounds itself out. After some regular use these cans sound fantastic and you will be recommending them to your friends just as I am.
