I got this card around January and when I attempted to install the card it locked up my computer to the point where I had to restore my PC from the restore disks. I contacted ATI's support and was told my chipset drivers were out of date. I just bought a brand new HP computer with a Vista upgrade on the way. I contacted HP support and was told my drivers were fine. To make a long story short both were pointing fingers and I'm out 59.00 bucks. Will probably try a different brand all together. Had lots of trouble installing the Catalyst Media Center (CMC)software. I never did get it up and running, which was a real disappointment. However, I installed a third party application -- Beyond TV -- which works GREAT. I had to pay extra for this application (about $50) which sucked, but now I have PVR on my computer, which is very cool. Was this review helpful?

My last review is gone (are reviews being censored?). The card works great once the drivers/software is installed on your PC. My installation CD was dorked, so I relied on ATI tech support to help me get my card up and running. Turns out the drivers/software for a TV Wonder 550 on ATI's website is useless. I was told to download everything for a Theater 550 Pro to get my card working. I couldn't download the DVD Decoder software without a working installation CD, however. It's been over a month of going back and forth with ATI tech support, and still no DVD Decoder software. I'm still getting generic answers to my specific questions... Was this review helpful?
