| | | The AT&T SL82318 DECT 6.0 Corded/Cordless Phone with Three Handsets and Answering System offers unsurpassed range, sound quality, and security, thanks to its use of DECT 6.0 technology, a newly available frequency band that does not suffer from interference from home appliances and wireless networks. The system comes with three handsets; you can transfer calls between handsets, and all three handsets can be off-hook simultaneously.It also expands upto the base and it can support up to 12 separate handsets. A built-in digital answering machine system records messages on microchips for reliable performance, instant access to messages, and the ability to selectively save and delete messages. The phone supports caller ID and call waiting. The Speakerphone is built right into the handset, making it more convenient than having to sit by the base as many other Speakerphone systems require. You can select from various ringtones, and the phone system is wall-mountable.

I am not a big fan of some of AT&T's products, but this phone (AT&T SL82318 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone) is by far the best cordless phone that I have ever owned. Feels good in hand, has good weight and the sound is quite clear. Was this review helpful?

This phone has the best range of all the many cordless phones I have owned. The speaker phone mode of the handsets work very well. I do wish it had the personalized ring tone capability of the AT&T EP5632 which I also own. The EP5632 also has a bluetooth interface capability of making calls via your bluetooth capable cell phone. I just wish the EP5632 5.8 GHz had the range of the SL82318 DECT phone. Both phones are winners! Was this review helpful?

I did my homework before purchasing the AT&T Dect 6.0 phones...the reviews weren't wrong. This phone is outstanding. The range, clarity and functionality is amazing. The best part is that one phone jack is all that's required (plus it doesn't interfere with our internet signal). All handsets have speakerphones, which is a cool feature, several different ring tones to choose from, and you can even intercom from one handset to another or transfer a call from one handset to another! Each handset also has the option to connect a headset. I highly recommend these phones! Well worth the cost! Was this review helpful?

I have only had this phone a short time but the voice quality is excellent. Setting up the voice was made very easy from the voice prompts on the unit itself. Very happy with the phone so far. If it would just weed out the telemarketers then it would be the perfect phone! Was this review helpful?

The only concern I have is that the ear piece volume could be just a little louder. Now don't take this wrong it is probably just about perfect for most people, but I like having a phone that will bust your ear drums!
However, these phones (ie the handsets) offer a speaker phone that more than makes up for the ear piece volume.
Plus there is an intercom feature between the handsets!
The features, range, and capabilities of this phone is why it earned a best buy from consumer reports, I am sure. Was this review helpful?
