I did a fair amount of research when looking for a new sound card for my HTPC. I chose the Asus Xonar D2 from Buy.com via Ebay. Factors I considered were product specifications, OS support, Reviews of success, price and availability. This card is amazing with 24-bit resolution, 192khz sampling, up to 7.1 output, PCI-X compatible, and supports Windows Vista Ultimate x64!! Buy.com had the best price I have seen, with free shipping even. It showed up 2 days later on my door step. Other brands considered were M-Audio, Creative, Omega, Turtle Beach, Siig, Auzentech, Diamond, and Encore. This Asus Xonar card is the best I have ever heard! Was this review helpful?
