I normally don't write a review on anything until I've used it for about a month, but because there is a rebate currently active on this card until the end of the month, I thought I should let you all know about this amazing sound card. There are Windows 7 drivers available for it currently, and they work like a dream! Unlike some other popular cards, these drivers don't slow down any of my gaming apps and the sound is crystal clear. I thought I had a nice sound card but this card is truly amazing. The front panel connection works great, but must be selected manually from the control panel, which is very intuitive overall and adds all the sound-shaping ability you will need. (FP Headphones is the selection for front panel) Trust me, if you want perfect sound, get this card! Oh, and Buy.com did a great job with fast turnaround and excellent packing of the card. I was skeptical at first And I was debating getting this or the creative Xifi. After reading that the XiFi cards arent yet fully supported I decided to get this one.
This card was also more expensive by about 40.00
Any way, installation was a breeze, this card is fully supported in ubuntu 9.04. If your on 8.10 you will have to upgrade.
Performance wise this card is an ANIMAL!!! I popped it in watched a couple movies online very impressed with the performance.
I played AC/DC - Thunderstruck, not even full volume and BLEW OUT one of my speakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shipping was fast,and producd is excellent.Works with Vista64 right out of the box,better sound than Creative. I have 7.1 speakers and games sound great. You can hear insects chirping and sounds of action all around you. I highly recomment this sound card for all gamers. Was this review helpful?

Excellent sound card,blows "sound Blaster" out of the water. Have been using "Xfi Xtreame Audio" for all my games and in general. This card is the MAX it is the best sound card I have ever used and the sound is crisp,directional,loud , and what ever else you could want in a card. I have Vista64 and have been having a time trying to get a card that works,I tried DX (it would not work at all) and checked all over the net till I found this one. Shipping was fast FREE SHIPPING< Ordered Friday got card the folling Wednesday(3 working days).. I will highely recommend this card to any one wanting excellent sound for games in vista64 or what ever. I use 7.1 and it is out of this world Was this review helpful?
