Author Bio
Marc Brown
This American author and illustrator changed the spelling of his name (from Mark) in 1956 in honor of the painter Marc Chagall. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Art and worked a variety of jobs--including truck driver and chicken farmer--before beginning his career as a creator of children's books. Best known for his series of books featuring Arthur the Aardvark, Brown has also collaborated with his wife, Laurene Krasny Brown, on a number of non-fiction books for children.
