PROS:
Great picture. Media plays louder that other players. Smooth, crisp video. Fast file transfer (USB). Low price. Touchscreen icons are large enough to operate with fingers while driving.
CONS:
Short range WiFi. No Java with Opera browser. Must buy accessories for more functionality. Cannot multitask (except for listening to music while viewing pics). No hand strap.
Overall, I really like this product. Although I had to purchase an adapter, the USB host capability works great for dumping pics from my camera to the ARCHOS. Java powered sites like youtube.com cannot be accessed because of the limitations of the browser. Tabbed browsing is a nice feature. When zoomed in to a web page, you cannot scroll to the side - only up & down. Transferring files via WiFi was fast enough.
I started with the 404, then upgraded to the 604. Finally I got the 604 WiFi and I think it is practical enough to not be called a luxury. Was this review helpful?

I really love it, but I find if your not electronic's smart it would be a little difficult to manage. But since I love eletronics it is very easy to handle. The picture quality is execellent as well as the video's. Was this review helpful?
