The overall performance and security is excellent and well worth the cost of the Aegis Vault by Apricorn. The quick guide's over simplistic setup caused some irratation during the installation of the hard drive, mainly some steps were left out or not clear. The guide doesn't show you that the drive has to be formatted by windows the first time it's used, once the setup is complete everything works smoothly and gives you a way to carry a portable drive with you while not worrying about compromising the security of your personal or business data if the drive is lost or stolen. I plan to purchase another Aegis Vault HD soon to protect all of my personal data. Was this review helpful?
