5 of 5 Excellent Surge Protector Thursday, May 01, 2008
    MyWebPathSolutions from Newport News, VA
I have purchased several of these surge protectors to use for all my electronics throughout my home over the last few years, and have never had a problem with any of them. They have all protected my equipment very well - and they all still work wonderfully. We have frequent power outages in my area with wind and storms, and these surge protectors have always kept my equipment from getting fried. I highly recommend them. :)

    4 of 5 It is a surge suppressor Monday, January 14, 2008
    ss78133 from New Braunfels
This is a high quality surge suppressor. It is worth the money spent; however, it is not a "great" discounted price.

    5 of 5 Power Strip Thursday, November 29, 2007
A Customer from Amherst, NY 14228
power strip is of high quality and has the added surge protection we were looking for as the power in our area goes out frequently causing spikes on the line when cycling. Also accomodates low voltage power supplies

    1 of 5 Design Flaw Tuesday, November 13, 2007
    Blazes Boylan from Brooklyn, NY
I've purchased a total of three of these from two different merchants and all have the same problem: the outlets down the center either don't work at all or stop working if the plug is jiggled even slightly. APC has clearly cut too many corners to keep the price down. Spend a few more bucks and save yourself a lot of frustration.

4 of 5 Surge protector but not splitter Tuesday, September 25, 2007
    A Customer from Brecksville, OH
I have no real complaints about the protection; however, when I read it was also a phone splitter for phone and DSL I thought it would replace the phone splitter I have - it does not work well splitting the dsl and phone line - lots of static. It may protect the phone line in the house from surges but it doesn't really act as a splitter - a bit disappointed. Other than that if it works as specified against spikes I will be happy - have had much trouble with lightning and can use all the help I can get.

    5 of 5 Good Protection Tuesday, January 09, 2007
    JohnD from NJ
Its cheap but reliable protection for your gear. Over 2000 joules! Other models of this unit have coax and ethernet protection.

5 of 5 Performs as advertised! Wednesday, July 26, 2006
    Ken Peterson from Whitewater, Colorado
I'm in charge of maintaining numerous ITS (Intelligent Traffic System) devices throughout western Colorado. In the past we have had a bad problem with power surges and lightning taking out cpu's and modems. I decided on installing the apc ph8t3 because of its Joules rating and that it also provided phone line protection. Within a few months after installing the first batch, we took a lightning strike on one of the devices; The phone line was welded into the apc jack, the apc was smoked up and fried, power plug was discolored, but the cpu and modem were fully functional after replacing the surge strip! We have since installed another 70 or so into the equipment sites, and have dramatically reduced the modem failures.
