I ordered the APC #33 replacement battery and it arrived within a week by UPS. I replaced my old battery in a few minutes and used the box that the new battery arrived in to send the old one back. The new battery was ready in 4 hours. They even included a free shipping label for UPS. Thus, I felt good about not polluting the environment. Everything was clean and smooth. The new battery works great -- no more red light to replace battery. The price for everything (battery and shipping) was about $15 to $20 less than obtaining the battery directly from APC. Peace of cake. Popped the battery in. I needed to wait longer than 8 hours for the battery to fully charge. I waited 48 hours (my only peave). Before that I keep getting alarm beeps and lights. All is well now. My systems are up on the APC UPS, running great. I like that you can return the old battery to APC for recycling. That's green! I wish Duracell and Energizer were this environmentally conscious.

This is a very simple replacement and can be done with out tools. It took less then 5 minutes. I left it charge for 24 hours before using. I have not had any issues. A plus they provide a free return by UPS for old battery pack. I think the APC replacement product is still a little high priced. Was this review helpful?

This battery replacement into the RS 1500 was easy and worked the first time. It started charging and hasn't beeped yet (it's been a month).
