Just like the other posters said, return label for recycling provided. APC and buy.com made this whole process easy and very quick. buy.com was less expensive then the rest, had a fluid process from checking out to tracking to returning old battery to even leaving a review. APC has the best most reliable products; I've been buying from them for almost 20 years. They walked me through the process to diagnoses that original battery was bad (passed it's life span), even-though it was out of warrantee! The original battery was 5 years old! Way past it's life span. I wish all companies would be as good to their customers and planet as APC. Was this review helpful?

This was a good price for the replacement from APC. I could have bought the batteries elsewhere and tried to figure out how to unwire the old ones and rewire new, but this was obviously way easier. But the best reason to buy APC branded replacement is: POSTAGE PAID RETURN LABEL! Pack up the old one for guiltless free recycling. Was this review helpful?

Disappointed in Dayton from Dayton OH
Purchased this battery to replace the one in my APC XS1000. As instructed, I replaced the battery and charged it overnight, then plugged in my system. It seemed to work fine, so I used the packaging to return the used battery for recycling. After about 2 weeks, the "replace battery" indicator on my APC started up again. After going back and forth with APC and Buy.com, APC now says my UPS unit is bad, but Buy.com would not accept a return on the battery without the packaging and it was slightly outside their 2-week return window. APC won't refund me, and claims my UPS is out of warranty. So, $60 and a lot of aggravation later, I have a UPS that may be broken, a battery that may be bad, and nothing that works.
Replacement batteries are probably a false economy. Just wait for a sale price on a new UPS unit. Was this review helpful?
