I have had this unit for 6 months or so.
I use this to provide backup power to my Cable modem which supplies phone lines and internet connectivity.
I also have my wireless router plugged into it.
I have only had to use it in test mode as we have not had any significant losses of power (though we have had intermittent outages and the unit kept everything running) the unit has been working fine, and is solidly built.

I have have this UPS for a will. Handles power loss good. It does not seam to store the outages in its history and although I have a reliable USB connection it frequently reports that the communications is lost. I like that some non UPS plugs are switch off when I turn of the computer (Speakers and Printer) but since I want my Display on UPS it is not switched so has to be turned off separately. Despite some problems I would probably buy it again as it does protect well. Was this review helpful?

I like everything about this vs. my older model. It was very easy to install. We've had several small power outages since then, and it has performed perfectly. I was especially happy with the 10 outlets, as I have a lot of office equipment plugged in that I no longer have to worry about. Was this review helpful?

i also have the previous version of this model for about 2 years now and had only 1 outage in all that time and it held up fine. i use that one for my computer and all its peripherals and this one for my home entertainment system. when it came time to shop for this second ups, apc was the ONLY choice. quality and value is what you can expect. and this one isn't nearly as heavy as the older model so that's a plus. Within a week of setting up this UPS, we had a power outage as I was working. The house went dark but my Mac Pro and monitor remained on. I also have my printer plugged into one of the battery-controlled outlets and that stayed on too. I had ample time to save my work and shut down normally.

I bought this expecting about 10 minutes of runtime, but it is able to keep my computer alive for more than 30 minutes. Vista doesn't have any built-in support for UPS so you have to install APC software, but it is very easy to use and barely uses any computer resources. Overall, great UPS, highly recommend.
