This case is a great value. Plenty of room for expansion and well designed for cooling. Plus, it is very sleek and functional. Was this review helpful?

If you have never used a case such as this in the past, when you open it you will be bewildered by its myriad of functions. But take a couple minutes to set back and look at it and all will be clear. this is by far the best case I have ever purchsed. Its big, but totally allows you room for everything.
In my previous case, my hard drives were running up to 58-60c. In this case, they run at 40c. The cooling is exceptional in this case. And it comes with 2 additional slots for fans
I run 4 internal hard drives and a large CPU cooling fan. With this computer setting right next to you on the desk, you dont even know its there. Its quiet period.
The hard drives are set into individual containers with rubber bushings to stop vibrations. The containers are removable for adding or removing drives with no effort.
If you are moving up to this case from a midtower case, you will find that your power supply cords are not long enough to work with this case. This is becuase the power supply installs on the bottom and not the top near the CPU and board. I purchased the 500 watt Earthwatts powersupply and it was a perfect fit for this box.
I cannot say enough good about this case. buy it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value, Quiet Case Tuesday, August 26, 2008 Dan from Florida
Sleek black finish. The 3 case fans are very quiet, particularly with case sound proofing. Good airflow - I added the optional front mid case fan (Scythe S-Flex SFF21E) due to running a Radeon HD 4850. Barracuda 250GB main HDD with 3 Barracuda 500GB HDD RAID5, ASUS P5E3 Premium/WIFI, Intel quad Q9450 with Noctua NH-U12P cooler, Corsair XMS 1333 DDR3 2x2GB and SeaSonic 650W PS. With the fans on medium, system barely audible at 8 feet. Fittings are tight and fan and PSU installation took some doing. Other than that, very satisfied with cable management, air flow and layout. Would gladly buy another P182 for my next computer. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Case Wednesday, June 18, 2008 Dave K from Kapolei, HI
I have been very pleased with this case overall. I am running this using a Gigabtye GA-MA790X-DS4, Diamond Viper HD 3780, Antec Earthwatts 650W PS, 2 WD 500GB drives & 2 WD 250GB drives (each mirrored). I added one fan to the case and it runs very quiet even with the fans on the medium setting.
My only real issue was with the 3 pin power LED cable. The motherboard supports only a 2 pin connector. I don't have enough confidence to try and fix it myself so just did without it. The only other issue was with my D-Link Draft N wireless PCI card. When I was setting up the system I had the case on the floor with the antennas exposed. When I put the case in the final position the antennas were being blocked by the case so I could not use the card effectively. I purchased a Linksys Draft N card. It has an antenna connected via cables so I could put on top of the case and everything worked fine.
Antec apparently had a bad run of fans so they include 3 replacement fans in case the ones that were installed fail early. I am very pleased with the case and would recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic Monday, May 12, 2008 A Customer from Colorado
This really is a nice case, and big too!. I used an antec earthwatts power supply, and the cables reach just fine to my Gigabyte motherboard. The cable management is a great feature, keeping things nice and clean inside. Was this review helpful?

I already owned one of these for my Home-based Music Production Studio. My partner is an audiophile and has built an insanely outrageous basement entertainment and movie grotto. Once he saw and heard (or actually didn't hear) my new cpu case, he got jealous ... so I bought him his own. They are both running GREAT and we are very, very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Case, worth the $$ Wednesday, December 12, 2007 roger from Albany, NY
This case is excellent. Good cable management, great airflow, moderate amount of room to work in, very versatile. QUIET!!! The top and rear 120mm fans cool my PD 3.0ghz enough to OC it to 4.0ghz idle temp 41*C and max load temp (using prime95) at 59*C. I have a Thermaltake Armor as well which is a noisy (but cool) beast compared to this case. My next build will definitely be with this case. My current system: Gigabyte P35-DS3L, G-Skill DDR2-800 (OC'd to 1066), Pentium D 3.0ghz (OC'd to 4.0ghz), ZEROtherm cf900 cooler, Coolermaster 600W-PCAR, ATI 2600XT, and of course, ANTEC P182. 5 of 5 Antec P 182 Tuesday, September 25, 2007 darn139 from Falmouth Ma
This is my second Antec case, and the P182 is an overwhelmingly superior model to most of the units I've seen on the market.
For me, 3 main points;
1. All the extra fans and venting, a vast improvement from the earlier models
2. The 2 quick release HDD cartridges, has much room for expansion.
3. The wider case allows for all or most of the wiring from the PSU to be run behind the main board instead of in front where they can interfere with air flow.
On a lesser yet still important note, the battery is mounted at the case base and sectioned off from the upper case to channel heat away from the main board.
For me, that's improved stability (bottom heavy) let alone with an extra fan assisting the PSU's 2 fans to move the heat out the rear of the case.
I doubt I'll ever use the water cooler holes, but for the must haves or SLI VC users who might need extra cooling, its there.
The case is worth every penny, heat is a comp killer and the P182 addresses the issue.
I would have liked to buy the P 190, that big honkin side panel fan, dual PSU mounts and case light made me wet myself, but wifey gave me that if you wish to sleep here anymore, you'll buy the less expensive case and suffer silently.
Only 2 downs for this case, and they're personal things,
1. I miss the older model's quick release access panel, (no screwing or unscrewing to peek inside the case,
2. The front door on the 182, I might have gone without it, but for those "MONKS", unlike myself who need neatness and conformity, (I have different colored hardware from different comps), and don't care that they don't match. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 amazing wish i could rate this a 6 Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Sammamish WA
went to silentpcreview.com and they recommended this case along with a compliment of other silent components. you cannot hear this pc AT ALL! You can't even tell that is booted up. VERY VERY quite. I ran Bonic on it for a week and Bonic uses 100% CPU. the pc never over heated with the fans on low. configuring cables takes a bit of work but is worth it. only issues are the fan speed switches are two small and at the back for two of the 3 fans. The fan, which is the harddrive fan speed control does not have an external mount but i was able to snake the cable past the power supply grill and it sticks out the back so i can adjust it between low med high fan speed. Also it would be really really nice to have a splitter on the fan speed cable so I could connect it the mother board and then use my ASUS utils to see the actual fan speed (this is a very minor issue) this case is a winner winner winner - did i saw winner!!! i've built many pc's and used to be into all the cool modes and fans and windows and lights and stuff but i've grown up and now only care about silence and cooling... this is the case for those that want that.
