 Editor's Note
A surprise hit comedy, Paul and Chris Weitz's AMERICAN PIE follows four high school friends--Jim (Jason Biggs), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), and Oz (Chris Klein)--through their sexually frustrated senior year. Boy-next-door Kevin hopes to finally lose his virginity to his bubbly girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid), while football player Oz begins an unlikely relationship with quiet chorus girl Heather (Mena Suvari). Finch struggles to maintain his cool air of witty detachment, while the neurotic Jim, most famously, has an intimate moment with apple pastry--and, eventually, sexy exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth). This hysterical yet sensitive movie also features memorable characters such as the ever-wise Jessica (Natasha Lyonne), the imbecilic Stifler (Seann William Scott), the dorky Sherminator (Chris Owen), the flute-playing Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), and Jim's hilariously nerdy dad (Eugene Levy).

5 of 5 Unrated Vs Rated Sunday, January 09, 2000 Mayaeve from Fullerton
There is no reason to buy the unrated version. It only shows split second scenes of nothing to do about nothing. The pie scene is replaced with the scene in the outakes section, they show just a pinch more of Nadia masturbating and they show some drawings from the sex bible. No big deal! 5 of 5 The 90's Porky's Thursday, December 30, 1999 A Viewer from Columbus, OH
This movie was awesome. Very funny. Kinda reminds you of what it was like when you were in high school and consumed with sex, either not having, or having. The scenes with Jim and his dad are very funny. Almost feels like a remake of the movie, Porky's, 90's style. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 High School Humor Thursday, December 30, 1999 Derek Nordstrom from Minnetonka, MN
American Pie is a wonderfully hilarious look at teenage male's number one objective--to get laid. The movie has a wonderful array of characters. The singing high school jock, the Jim Carrey-like class clown, the knockout foreign girl that everybody loves, and hip horny star Jim. I am 5 years removed from high school, but American Pie takes me right back to the good ol' days of high school. It is a must see movie. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Funny as hell!!! Tuesday, December 28, 1999 Crash from Tulsa, Ok
This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. You'll cough up a lung it's so damn funny. If you like high school humor look out, this is da bomb. Makes Porky's seem a boring as a church cookout. Get the un-cut version for full enjoyment. Buy it, enjoy it, show your friends. Was this review helpful?
