I don't usually write reviews, but I've tried a similar product for a similar hand held and it was a nightmare to install and then use. This worked perfectly from the start. I have an Ipaq 1945 and the Windows 2003 mobile OS for it.
I do have to broadcast the SSID to use it, but otherwise I have no complaints. I use WEP encryption too. Was this review helpful?

This card works well in my Palm 700wx. You need to load the beta drivers from the AmbiCom website for it to work properly. Occasionally I need to do a soft reset to get a signal when I know that one is available, but that isn't too big a deal. I just wish Palm would integrate wifi into their products, but this is a great alternative. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this device (rev 2.5) for my iPAQ 1935 PDA, which is a couple years old now. Tracking down the proper drivers was a bit difficult (the drivers on the CD did not work on my device) but I did find them on the Ambicom website. After installing the proper drivers, the device has worked flawlessly. It uses little battery power, provides healthy transfer rates, and has solid connectivity. It also works well with wireless sniffer software, detecting some very far away access points. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased the SDIO WIFI Card by AmbiCom via buy.com. I must say the product is absolutely wonderful. There are different revs of this card but buy.com sold the latest version. Price, service, ship can't be beat. I also purchased the ESP offered by buy.com. I loaded the s/w on my PC, plugged in the WIFI card and the M5 immediately found my secure wireless network (Linksys router). S/W notices that it is secure and allows you to input the access code of the network. Browsing is fast, screen clear. Works much like Explorer. Was this review helpful?
