3 of 5 Nice but needs improvement Friday, December 14, 2007
robfnk@wildblue.net from Christmas, Florida

Nice quality pictures but I have seen much nicer reset settings on other frames. Frame is attractive but had a couple chips in it and the wood is soft so it chips easy. The instructions are limited and I have been unable to load any video files. Not sure why as I have not been able to get any one from Aluratek on to phone or to answer an email. Overall if you want it only for pictures it is very nice and a good buy. If you are interested in its other options I would look elsewhere. Pictures are very easy to load and you have many options.

5 of 5 Same specs/features as ADMPF110 Tuesday, October 16, 2007
A Customer from NYC, NY
I bought the brown trim version for my parents and bought this slick black one for myself. It does exactly what it says on the box...view photos, play slideshows, play mp3, and videos off my SD1000 camera. It's not rocket science. I love the music and video features but most importantly it comes with memory built in. I'll be buying more for gifts.

1 of 5 Do not buy this screen Tuesday, October 02, 2007
Mad_at_Alurtek from Palo Alto, CA

The screen is NOT 1024x768! I did a test photo with dots on it and showed it to be only 640x480.

The on-board memory is limited to something around 120 pictures and will not accept more photos beyond that. I resized all my photos to 1024x768 and after putting 120 on the frame, which amounted to 40 MB of images the frame would not accept more. I have not checked if more photos can be read from an inserted memory card.

I am leaving this review after a poor experience with Alurtek technical service in which the man who answered feigned an inability to answer any of my questions and put me on hold for 20 mins to speak with 'Norm' the technical guy.

I gave Alurtek customer service the chance to answer my concerns and felt that I was given the run around. The man spoke quite knowledgable about the frame, but would say things like 'The frame supports 1024x768 size images' but then I would say: 'does it display at this resolution?' to which he would differ to 'Norm' the technical service guy apparently sitting right next to him that left me on hold for 20 mins. When I called back, no answer. He kept saying their frame is the best value to which I said if it did what you advertise it as doing i.e. 1024x768 resolution.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! If this review will keep one person from buying their product, my time has not been wasted.

4 of 5 Does what it says it will do. Tuesday, July 31, 2007
Paul Jensen from Evansville, IN
This digital picture frame is as advertised. The instructions were a bit difficult to understand and implement, but after a bit of trial and error, all worked perfectly. The product arrived three days after ordering, just in time for the fourth of July. So I put the last five years worth of 4th of July celebration (150) pictures on an SD, put into the slot, pushed the slide show buttton on the remote and "walla" all 30 guests were impressed. Of course they asked "where?" and "how much?" I have since changed the "theme" three times and all are truly enjoying the memories. I have been wanting one of these for years, but they were so expensive, complicated and tiny that I couldn't put it in the mix. This was different!

4 of 5 Good buy despite some glitches Saturday, July 28, 2007
A Customer from New York, NY
Overall I am satisfied with this digital frame. Bought it as a birthday present for my wife's mom, put a SD card with over 700 pictures - she was staring at them for days :-) Of course, now she says "Gimme more, I want new pictures". A few issues I encountered with the product. (1) It is a little intimidating for a non-techie. The remote has about a dozen buttons, even I need a few seconds to figure out what to press, and then the frame doesn't always react as I expect, or doesn't react at all if the remote is not pointed directly at the frame at a certain angle. (2) It should auto-detect the flash card inserted. Instead, every time it's turned on, it asks "Insert flash card", even though the card is already inserted, and you have to navigate through 3 levels of menus to start the slide show. Also, for some reason, after you select the type of card from the menu, it asks to pick the type of files, photos or movies - I would expect it to figure this out automatically. (3) Some of the photos were shaking when displayed by the frame. I though it was some software glitch caused by something in those specific photos, but now the display is shaking just randomly, including when its own menus are shown. This is probably not a fundamental problem with the device, just this specific one I got, but I now have to send for replacement, which is annoying,

4 of 5 Like it ...But Thursday, July 05, 2007
A Customer from Portage, WI
I like the unit but when you change the duration of the slide show, say from 10 sec,(the default) to say 2 sec, if you turn it off it will default back to 10 sec.

5 of 5 Aluratek ADMPF210 Thursday, July 05, 2007
KD Mc Caslin from Tucson, Arizona
This is one of the highest resolution picture frames I've seen. If you are not computer savy, it is a bit daunting, but once it is figured out, it is a great picture frame. I have another picture frame made by a competator, it cost more, does not have the resolution that this one has, and almost as hard to figure out. If I were to buy more, I would definitely take a look at this one.

5 of 5 Great product. Large bright screen. Wednesday, July 04, 2007
JHS from Casselberry, Florida
Overall this is an excellent product. Had a little difficulty getting it set up with photos. Contacted tech support and they were readily available and very helpful. I bought two of these frames. One as a gift and another for myself. Both parties are very happy.

5 of 5 Excellent Quality Saturday, June 23, 2007
AVArtist from NYC, NY
It was really easy to transfer from my SD card to the internal memory. Most other frames don't have built in memory. The slideshow works great and the pictures quality is amazing. I was able to play my AVI video files recorded from my Canon SD750 with out any hickups, mostly short 1-2min clips of my son, haven't tried larger video files yet. Overall very impressed with this frame and the price was much less than Phillips and Kodak.

4 of 5 Good looking frame with a few quirks Monday, June 18, 2007
miratig from Cheboygan, MI
The frame is lovely, the picture excellent, and I like the fact it takes all the different cards. It also says that it plays avi and mpg videos, however I have not been able to get this to work. The manual is very spartan, not much help, no troubleshooting guide. I left a email for the tech support but so far they haven't been any help. The remote control is flimsy and I can see it won't last too long, the letters are already wearing off the buttons with two days use. I am generally happy with the frame, it certainly does a good job on showing jpg pictures, but I would like to be able to use the video also.

5 of 5 Aluratek 10.5" Photo Frame--good product Sunday, June 17, 2007
A Customer from Phoenix, AZ
I've compared quite a few digital photo frames, and this one and the Phillips are the only ones I've seen with great resolution. Everything worked well except the slideshow interval. I set it for 5 seconds, but it always wants to go back to the 10-sec. default when playing background music or if you start on any photo but the first one. Buy.com's price is pretty good for this frame, but note that Buy.com doesn't have this currently in stock, so it sells and ships from an outside vendor at a price that isn't worth it.

5 of 5 High quality display! Thursday, June 07, 2007
Happy Customer from Houston, TX
The picture quality of this frame is amazing! I wish I had this for Christmas last year. The on board memory is also a plus for this product. I didn't have to keep my memory card in the slot all the time.
