After the initial set up, which went fairly easy, the screen functioned as expected for a couple of months. Then pictures started to appear randomly with greyed out areas or scrambled. Cant seem to find any consistency to the problem, ie: the same pictures possibly due to corrupt files. Will see how they stand behind their warranty! Was this review helpful?

Bought it, Received it, Used it, LOVE IT. The picture quality is great. Very easy to use and the photos automatically load once you insert your memory card. Background music is decent during slideshow play. Real wood frame is a nice touch. Looks great in our library at home. I like the auto on/off timer feature and built in calendar funtion. Notice in all the tech specs, they do not state resolution. Why not? I would expect better from Buy.com. Sad.
Had to look elsewhere and find this item is 800x480, which is a poor resolution.
I would expect 1024x768 minimal to be stating high resolution.

Great frame. Nice sound quality. We bought this for my wifes parents 40th wedding anniversary. I had a problem with the 1g SD chip. When I looked at the pictures I had down loaded, some would be distorted. I called Aluratek, and after some trouble shooting determined that the SD chip was corrupt. So they are sending me a new one. I use a chip from my digital camera and the pictures look great. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot randomize the picture viewing. Was this review helpful?

It was a little pricey, but it was a Christmas present for my wife, so what the heck. Speaking of Christmas, I ordered this frame on 12/1/07 and it did not arrive until well after New Years. So, I'm not real impressed with their shipping. Also, I was a little surprised that the pictures downloaded do not fill the screen. Guess I have more reading up to do. Was this review helpful?

The frame I received won't read the SD card. I finally got to view some pictures on it by using a USB drive. The pictures looked very good - big and bright.
I really want to like this picture frame & use it. But it just doesn't work right. I have tried Alluratek's tech support and it is downright horrible. I got a very quick initial response from them, but the solutions they gave me were worthless! They then promised a replacement, but that's been over a week ago and now I get no response from them at all.
So hopefully, Buy.com can help get this resolved & I can update this review. If the frame worked right, I would give it very good marks. However, beware that you will not get any support from Alluratek which leaves me uncomfortable with buying more of their products in the future. Was this review helpful?
