Awesome performance for the money. My home stereo is Denon and Klipsch and this speaker setup impressed me. One of the mini plugs developed a short in the patch cord but that is the only negative about the whole setup. Someone should really reinvent the mini plug as I've had problems before with a lot of them.

I have purchased 4 sets of these speakers. They are great! 2 for my kids, 1 for me, and 1 for a client. They are not the most powerful out there, but excellent for the cost. I would highly recommend these speakers for a computer, laptop, or game system. I use mine for my big screen TV, they sound great!

I bought the speaker system for a great price from buy.com. They work great for my xbox 360 easy to set up and sound. They have great base sound the speakers are average to good. For the price I would buy another set. Also I bought them ground shpping it only took 5 days to get them. I shop around, these are worth the buy.

I revieved this as a gift from my daighter and I love it! I am not very good with computers and it was very easy to hook up and use. I am very pelased and my daughter said that it was a great price. I love it!

The unit has very good bass and treble reproduction. The subwoofer cabinet looks a little flimsy, but it does the job. I would say my only gripe is that it doesn't have a volume control on the satellite speakers. Only on the subwoofer, which is usually hidden underneath a desk. I was quite surprised to find that it has a long cable with RCA input to hook up your MP3 player or any external device. This should make it more useful to people utilitizing multiple devices. The unit is attractive and will fit into any setting.

I have ordered 3 of these now. 2 for computers and 1 I stuck in the garage and plug my mp3 player into it. You cannot beat this unit for the price. I don't have a lot of experience with other products of this nature, but you will not be disappointed with this system for the price you pay.

I originally ordered these mostly based on the price but have found them to be a great value. The satellite speakers are small and give a good sound but the sub really kicks in fullness. Besides using for my computer, I have used them as satellite speakers for my Bose Wave system at a wedding reception and they performed on par with the Bose. I have now purchased a second set as a gift for a family member.

Before I decided to buy this system from buy.com, I had read lots of reviews about it. The system arrived today, and after I hooked it up to my laptop and turned on the winamp for some mp3, the sound was gorgeous! I can't be happier given the fact that this only costs less than 30 bucks including shipping and tax. Very satisfied.

it might probably be the best speaker with subwoofer in its price range (20 dolars)...sounds great. Enough to surround a small room with its incredible sound. As conclusion, it is a must-buy product.

These speakers are very clear and give a nice full sound. I primarily use them to listen to music and watch movies/tv shows, not much of a gamer. They aren't quite as loud as I hoped but are loud enough for me. Like many others, I would have liked the volume control on the satellite speakers not the subwoofer. I got these with the free shipping and got them the next day!! I would definitely buy from Buy again.

For $20 u can't get better speakers than these. Although it is cheap the performance is very good.And the bass level is good enough to blast my bedroom with sound.

I thought I'd try these speakers because of the price and Altec's brand. Conneceted them to my TV and wow what an improvement in sound. Will not rival seperates, but is a substantial improvement over TV speakers. Now, I have a mini cinema. Don't like the wires and connectors on the side of the subwoofer. Would have been better if on the back. Well worth the sale price of $19.99. Son tried it on his PC and games and wow, the sound brings the action to life!

I bought this product because I have an old 32" Sony TV with fried speakers that otherwise works just fine. By hooking the speakers up to the speakers line out port on my combo VCR/DVD, I can use the speakers to play the cable tv audio feed or DVD audio. The sound quality is better than the original Sony TV speakers, without the artificially boomy quality that some other similar add-on speaker systems have.

These speakers made an outstanding difference on my computer. Other reviews say the controls on the bass are a problem but I have found them more convenient for my setup. The sound is so much better than my old speakers, I can't describe the difference. I highly recommend these Altec Lansing speakers and the price, well $20 is dirt cheap to me. My husband was so pleased, he ordered 2 more sets, 1 for his computer & the 2nd he hooked up to our TV and they improved the clarity of voices in particular significantly.

I got these speakers when they ran a periodic sale at just over $20 and for that price these speakers are WELL worth the money! They have a good sound for fairly inexpensive PC speakers. My only complaint is that the volume control is on the sub. Subs sound best in corners so it is generally my inclination to hide the sub down below my desk, but that makes adjusting the volume tricky. It does make a big difference in the sound to have the sub on the desk next to the speakers. That is why I gave it a low ease of use rating. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase!

These speakers don't sound quite as nice as the last pair I had (Logitech z2200) BUT they don't crackle and sound great for the price. I will never buy Logitech speakers again (2nd pair to go bad on me after the warranty period). These don't take up a lot of room, and have nice bass response (not overwhelming, which is good). Slightly thin sounding mids and highs but over sound great for their purpose (desktop PC music only).

I bought this system somewhat on a whim because they were on sale, and I wanted a system with a subwoofer. But I am glad I did, because I am quite happy with the speakers. I don't watch movies or game on my computer, so when I crack open iTunes and listen to music, they are just great. - Small size, big sound - Clear and accurate sonic properties - Wall-mountable - Few wires

I think this is the first time I have written an online review of any product. <p> I have owned a set of these for my home for about 1 year. I use them to attach to our VHS/DVD player and Gamecube. Love the sound. Separate sub-woofer and overall volume control. Awesome sound. Distorts a bit when running it full blast. <p> I just recently bought two more sets for the church that I pastor. Both are hooked up to laptops. Worship for our children's church operates with a laptop playing digital music files through these speakers. Love them. The other set is hooked up the laptop I use in my office. <p> Great speakers. For the price, an amazing value!

Hi , If you are looking for a cheap(but working) speakers , go for it. The sound is not bad at all ...the statelite speakers can be improved but overall it can rock a room for sure I have used this with TV,Laptop and ofcourse games ...and it works awesome Its very easy to setup (provide's extra cable for laptop) ... The only thing I dont like abt these speakers is that the volume and bass knobs are not on the satelite speakers -- so every time I have to alter the voice I have to go to the woofer ...(work around is to use ur TV,LAPTOP for volume) overall its worth buying at this cost

I use the speaker with my Xbox360, they sound great for the money and look good. Would have prefered the volume control on the speaker rather than the sub woofer.

i hooked these speakers to my tv and i can easily hook them up to my mp3 player and they sound AwSoMe. if i blast them i can hear them all over the house. awsome speakers for the price!!!

Well since i bought the first set, i was amazed by the sound quality this system offered, so i got 2 one for me & the other for my friend, so now i have 2 of these beast speakers, the bass the subwoofer offers is way exceptional for it's price & the satelites have a great treble sound even on high volume, so if you are looking for a decent system in this price range, buy'em & consider yourself lucky if got a chance to do that because nobody knows when this amazing price & shipping are going to last

I wanted some small speakers with decent sound to use in my office. These are great! One reviewer said the satellites sound tinny. They only sound tinny to me when the input is extremely thin and tinny. The subwoofer won't rattle the windows, but it is capable of more bass than I usually need, more than enough to feel the "zmm zmm" of the bass viols in classical pieces and a very satisfying bass thump from more contemporary stuff. They are small enough and cheap enough that I may get another set to put behind me.

Hooked up these babies in just a few minutes. The hook-ups were a bit difficult to understand and there should have been a simple diagram included/labeled. I also don't like the volume control on the sub. The sub is usually on the floor; out of the way. AL should consider putting the power/volume control on one of the 2 desktop/wall mount speakers. Better yet, AOpen included an power/volume control at the end of a cable that easily reaches the desktop. However, once they were hooked up, the sound is great! I don't do a lot of gaming but would imagine these would be great for a gamer. I listen to webcasts and general background music. Wonderful value.

I've never been one to go out of my way and buy the ridiculously expensive sound systems the market offers today. My in-ear Apple and Sony headphones have served me well enough through the years. However, when these went on sale I figured why not, let's try these. They're pretty darn cheap and would be nice in my dorm room. The result: some songs had bass lines I've never heard before, upping the layers in every song tenfold. These speakers are incredible! Though they're made for gaming (I don't play at all), these are great as laptop or TV speakers. They also sound great with my iPod. Don't miss out on these! I'm almost tempted to get a second set for my parents when I leave for college...

The highs and mids sound amazing on this system, better or equal to any other speaker costing $150 and below. The bass is clean but there's not much of a punch to it. If harder and boomier bass is a top priority, I would look elsewhere. But for what you get, the price is unbeatable.

I'm very impressed, the sound is crystal clear and the bass is great too. And you just can't beat that price. On top of all that, I got mine the DAY AFTER I ORDERED, which is excellent. Good speakers for anyone, not just gamers. If you've been wanting some new speakers, definitely consider these.

You can't imagine how much good sound you get for this price. If your TV sounds lousy, buy one of these! (Only if you have an "Audio OUT") No remote but great sound for the price.

EXCELLENT Rated ***** thats one word to describe this little system. I am very strict in my music system clarity and ordered these as a starting thing for me as I just moved to a new place. Till now I use them for my laptop and also hook ma mp3 player to these.. u would be amazed at the quality of sound from these set. The richness and reverberation is of the same as that Altec Lansing is known for.. and they live upto it with this system too !! This is truly an amazing deal. The sound is worth a lot more than the price at which they sell for. I wonder if I should have gotten two sets...hmmmm? I will later wish I had-I am sure. I will be listening to a lot more music at my laptop now, where as in the past I didn't because of the lack of a good sound source and limited desk space. The system looks very attractive and a very low profile which is usually expected and can be anticipated from Altec Lansing. Best Shopping, Best Buy!

This is probably the best deal ever, i got this system becuase im a bass lover & what i got wasn't expected, i got a better sound than the last system that i got which was more expensive from this one, i use on my desktop & ps2, it works really good i feel myself really emerged in the game or juss music....i might get another one for my bro before it becomes outta stock.

Very affordable speakers great buy..very nice sound for games or movies..I have them connected to my PS2 and watch movies..u got to watch action movies to really feel the effects..awesome. I even connect them to my laptop some times and listen to songs..the bass is very good..

I purchased these speakers on sale and free shipping. For the price, these speakers meet my expectations and are a good little set of speakers for my LCD TV in the bedroom. They boost the bass to a descent level and really make watching TV a pleasure again. I am not using them for PC Gaming, as they were designed for, but still satisfied with them. I would recommend them to anyone on a budget wanting a great pair of speakers/sub-woofer system.

You can't beat this set in the "Best Sound for Under Twenty Bucks" category. I've paid 5 times as much for half the sound. I use these to amp up my laptop-based karaoke system. It's perfect for small venues and private parties.
