Bought these for my brother's computer. His older Altec Lansing 45.2's broke during his move. Although we both felt that the older set had better power (volume), these were pretty good and sound quality was at least as good. Happy with the purchase. Although they have a new model coming out so look for those before buying... Was this review helpful?

This is my second set purchased. First set was for my daughter to use at college, this set is for a home PC. I still think this is a great value. You have to spend a lot more money to get better sound than this. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this speaker system 2-3 weeks ago for my new Dell computer. The speakers delivered on time, and best of all shipping was free! (This is great on a relatively heavy item like these speakers) Setting up the system was very simple... I simply removed the speakers, set them up next to my computer and hooked them up to my PC, then hooked the sub up to the speakers. Simple. The first sound i heard from the speakers was the Windows Intro music, and i knew right away i was in for a special deal. The sound was crisp, powerful, and full. I keep most of my music on my computer (1500 songs or so), and every song sounds very clear and i love the smooth sound of the sub (I turned mine up to around halfway... there is a groove to indicate the medium, although i often turn it up to feel all of that power!) I do have a few recomendations. Try using the SFX feature, as it broadens out the sound from the main desktop. (I prefer it turned off). I also turned off the 'Sound Enhancer' feature, as i think it created a low hissing noise from the speakers. Overall, i would fully recommend these speakers, and for the price they are an unbelievable bargain. Get yours today! Was this review helpful?

I am an audio enthusiast and professional user. I bought this set for my daughter for college dorm use with laptop. When I read all the other reviews I bought them and had a "We'll see how good they really are" attitude. I was pleasantly surprised.
She is in a dorm room with 6 others and they all use her laptop to watch movies now because of the sound!
