    My initial concern was that these speakers might suffer in sound quality due to the portable design of the speakers. When listening to music on the speakers, I was impressed with the overall sound quality and power of the speakers for such small speakers. The speakers are obviously not capable of reproducing the low end of the frequency, but you will find the bass quite satisfying for these speakers.     It is small yet powerful. You also can adjust the volum on the speakers too. Once you turned it to max, everyone in a 20' by 15' room can hear it loud and clear. And it uses only one usb to the computer. No power supply needed.

    5 of 5 Excellent sound in a very compact form factor Friday, April 28, 2006

    These lil speakers sound fabulous. Crisp highs, clean mids and surprising bass for such small drivers. Don't expect subwoofer boom out of these. Subs are a totally different class of speakers. For a compact speaker set that doesn't require external power, these pack quite a punch. I have no complaints with the volume level. --- The front USB ports on my system weren't able to recognize these speakers ("USB device not recognized"). Plugging them into a different port resolved that in short order. --- I'm very happy with these speakers and recommend them highly to anyone who has limited desk space and doesn't want a bunch of wires running all over the place.

    if you are a design nut like me, they are beautifully designed. the carrying case is compact and great as well. i'm a little concerned about their stability, as the miniplug that hooks the two together doubles as a foot for them to stand upright, but they are not that stable. and, the mini plug into the headphone jack of my laptop gives me much more volume than the usb. that seems a bit odd. but they sound good, especially through the 1/8" jack.
