They perform exceptionally well if you're seeking a small system w/o a subwoofer. (I'm not using them for games so they haven't revealed if they can produce the thundering bass required.) With on-line audio, CDs and external audio devices these speakers really do the job. The only reason that they didn't earn a 5 all around: the mid-range is a little weak, but not unacceptable. Well-made and very attractive, they deliver high volume accurately without distortion. Definitely worth the price if you're seeking a 2.0 system!
