The sound is decent enough for the size and price. It is not as rich as I hoped for $100 but it is a fair price for the the whole package of function and portability. My wife was hoping I would get a system that would replace the old stereo but I learned that only after getting the unit. That said, I still have use for the IM3C. The 4 cheap rechargable batteries I'm using seem to last 5 or more hours. The remote is nonfunctional beyond 3 ft. One hint - make sure you set your IPOD equalizer to small speakers or bass boost or whatever works for you, since the default IPOD setting definitely was tinny sounding. Was this review helpful?

My teenage grand daughter loves this enhancement to her iPod. It even has remote control so you can adjust the volume while she is lying on the beach.
