This unit has awsome sound and deeeeep base. The remote is so handy. The tower speakers adjust to direct sound where needed. the only thing I have a small isue is the size of the Woofer, I use the system in a small area at work. I was a big fan of the Altec Lansing ATP3 2.1 speaker set. This one's even better. Its easily the Best 2.1 system for a PC I have heard so far. Not tried Bose though :)

I am very glad I bought these speakers for my PC. Great sound and power. Don't hesitate push the button and order these you won't be sorry. Deep low end, crisp highs, and plenty of crunch in the mid range. For the money you will be very pleased. Rock on! Eddie Trunk on XM Boneyard on Monday nights will be sounding sweet. I am very discriminating when it comes to sound quality from speakers. I have never been very impressed with small speakers and in particular, speakers designed for a home computer... until now. Thanks to the recommendation by a friend, I have found what I am looking for! While I have only used this Altec Lansing set for about a week now, I am thrilled with the amazing sound quality from such an inexpensive speaker/subwoofer set. I debated buying a much more elaborate sound system and playing CDs - but to my amazement, I am very content while on the computer listening to my I-Tunes. My biggest complaint is that it lacks some mid-range - but I can live it, especially considering the price. Was this review helpful?

The three piece system offers a great range of highs and lows. Of all my friends that have laptop speaker systems, I rate this the best I've heard so far. The remote makes it easy to adjust the volume, treble, bass so you can compesate for differently mixed mp3 and such files.

I got these speakers today and set them up. The sound is perfect. I let my brother fine tune the sound for me. He works in video and sound editing, so he has an ear for good sound. He was very impressed with the sound. I listen to Rap music and Metal. I even played some Classical Music to test different kinds of music. I put in my Dad's "Yo Yo Ma" cd and it sounded perfect. These speakers have alot of power and they look great on my desk.
Don't hesitate to buy these Altec Lansing speakers you won't be sorry. I'm glad I did not buy the speakers I was going to buy for $50.00. These speakers will make you hear certain things in your music that you never noticed before. These are perfect and get 5 stars from me. I wish I had these long ago.
