5 of 5 Not a bad camera Sunday, December 31, 2006 pilotjack61 from Colchester, Ct
If you are buying this for a principle camera you may be disappointed but for a cam that you want to take with you to have a little history of your events it's a gem. I take it along on motorcycle outings and places I wouldn't want to take a chance on breaking or losing an expensive one. I wish that they would have put an ac adapter outlet somewhere on this camera for recording movies from the tv or watching them. That would be my only suggestion to the manufacturer. GREAT LITTLE CAMERA. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good deal Monday, October 30, 2006 A Customer from Fort Collins, CO
I bought this camera to use primarily for the video function. For the money, this camera is a good value. My only complaint is the video is very poor in lower light. You almost need sunlight to get a good quality video. The quality of the video in bright light is excellent. The digital camera works well. I purcahsed a 2GB memory card with this camera which is the max it will take. I would recomend this size if you don't want to have to download frequently. Overall, not a bad purchase for novice use. 5 of 5 Cool little camera Sunday, August 20, 2006 hop80 from Atlanta, Georgia
I've read several reviews about this camera, and some I dislike but most I liked. I think this a great little camera and video recorder. With a 1 GB scan disk I'm looking at a two hour movie. Not to mention almost all the still pictures I can handle. So in closing I love this little camera. Was this review helpful?

I bought it to record video for my son to watch during long road trips. It is super easy to record off the "satelite tv" receiver, dvd player. It was a struggle to get the "mp3" player going. But overall it was easy to use. I bought a 2meg memory card for $99 and it stored 2hrs of tv, 100 songs, and was still able to take Pictures and video clips of our trip. Sure in low light it isn't the best but overall for what it does and the money spent. . . . you can't go wrong !!! Was this review helpful?

The price is right. It uses USB 2.0, that makes this more compatable with everyone. The really neat thing about this Dv Camera is the fact that you can record into the unit from DVD players or VCRS or any video signal your can plug into it. You can also hook it direct up to a tv and play your videos back on a big screen. I have bought the past models of Aiptek cameras and they suffered from low light problems when used indoors, but the MPVR has great Lux properties for indoor use with its night shot funtion engaged. This is one of the best Dv cameras I have every bought. Look at the specs check it out. For the price this camera has it all. This is my first review of any product that I have ever bought, so that should say to you this product from Aiptek really set my socks on fire. Was this review helpful?

Bought it because it was reasonably priced, portable, and had mp3,video,still image capabilities. Performance of the device however leaves a lot to be desired. Images (still and video blur easily), the camera/camcorder is no good in anything other than optimum lighting conditions, and for some reason the camera/camcorder clarity looks bad if the object you are recording is more than 10ft away.
The camera is user friendly and less expensive than a normal camcorder. U get what U pay for. If you buy it, expect to use it as a backup. For me, its like a toy and its portability and low price allows me to use it in conditions i would not use my normal camcorder in. Was this review helpful?
